In 2012 when I began my design adventures with The Weekly Juicery's owner and health maven Kimmye Bohannon, I could barely choke down a carrot juice. I remember our first meeting when she was showing me her juicing processes so I could better understand her design needs for her first brick and mortar flagship store, I was faking my interest. I was taken with the colors of the juice but couldn't drink a single one. From that day forward she has been making my health a priority. She started me off with fruit laced smoothies. Slowly adding in secret ingredients she would later confess to me. "You just drank a whole head of romaine" or "I bet you didn't know that had a cup of kale greens and beet juice added in". She would email me the contents of that day's smoothie after I had consumed them. I put my trust and faith in her. Soon I graduated from smoothies and was drinking the beet juices, then moving up to green juice. Til one day I was a juicer. I've changed my diet drastically by deleting the foods that made me feel draggy and realizing the foods that gave my body the best energy possible. I began to crave my juice. My body wanted it and my brain was addicted. Today I have a gallon sized mason jar full of macca, ginger, wheatgrass powder and a divine item called brain on fueling my production for store #6 opening soon in Palomar in Lexington. Somedays I forget how far I have come from the girl who couldn't drink a carrot juice.
