MORE RAMBLING ABOUT MY STAR WARS OC!!!!

this is just... i've just been plagued by thoughts and i have no idea if i'll go through with it

but like princess beetrix??? princess beetrix from a planet destroyed by the first order??????? leia parallels???? she reminds ben of his mom, like they both remind each other of family so much, it could be the force idk????? idk?????

she would've been like... sixth in line for the throne, like it was never gonna be her... so she left, because if she couldn't server her people on the throne, she'd serve them in the stars, fighting the first order and then.... everyone else is gone and now it's her. she didn't think she'd make it this far with the resistance, being a fighter is dangerous and now it's her. she's all that's left of the royal family and what little there are of her people spread out across the galaxy now look to her for guidance and she's lost. so so lost. there are so few of them left, no planet to go back to... she's afraid of leading them to extinction no matter what. it wasn't supposed to be her.

i've also just been making up holidays and traditions and little superstitious beliefs because i like doing that, she would hold onto those whether she's a princess or not

but imagine: here is a princess whose only connection to her ancestors now are the traditions and holidays related to seasons that no longer exist

imagine, like imagine, beetrix teaching ben about the culture he wiped out, because even though he's done all the bad things he understands grief, he understands anger, the sadness and rage he senses from her, it's familiar. it reminds him of himself it reminds him of his mother so he sits and he listens and he learns about the beauty in the world that existed, that still exists. the traditions live in her and now they live in him, they will not fade so long as they are remembered.
