A friendship between two people who never interact. . .
Ok now that there’s art I get to ramble about how I think they’d consider each other friends even though they consciously Do Not talk to each other or barely have any interaction at all. At MOST they might pass each other bandaids or granola bars before the bus arrives.
They aren’t friends in that sense but rather two autistic people who know they’re in the presence of someone equally as bad as them and on the same wavelength of “I do not care if you don’t mask around me right now but please do not be overstimulating or I will EXPLODE.” I also got to make a little bus line that goes through town regularly where the only people who hang around there early enough are the two of them. Their friendship is built on letting each other vibe and have some kind of presence that isn’t more stimulation for the day, and without any kind of expectations on or from each other.
It also helps that they don’t interact at school and don’t try to. Juno has seen Mask but has never interacted with them at all, but it’s also in part of how she’s never had a conversation with Daisy either. I think it would also help Daisy in the fact that they’d hear from some people about how Juno isn’t a good person at all. Or at least the kind of good she is isn’t always moral or ethical by any means. Juno’s max perception is also entirely in perception of others and how they feel, so she’d be able to clock that Daisy doesn’t wanna be bothered at the time. She also wouldn’t be super interested in Daisy without like. Meeting them at Alex’s farm with Ferdie and seeing that side of them.
