I so badly wanted to answer this seriously but then I remembered Tasi is a pathetic girlfailure whose never had romantic feelings for someone before and her true desire is to do something about her feelings but she doesn’t exactly what to do with them…so….

Small rant: I just want to say that there’s nothing inherently wrong with a feminine design, in the right setting and for the right character it is nice! Frida's design however? Makes absolutely no sense from a character standpoint and what we know about her as a character (which admittedly isn’t much) but from what we have been told? Is that Frida takes her job as big mamas assistant super seriously, to the point (now this was mentioned in the QNA so it’s official) that it’s almost funny, and when I look at her face in the comic? I’m just not getting that characterisation at all, now admittedly maybe this is what they were going for? But for a singular cameo/Easter egg I highly doubt they put that much thought into how they wanted people to portray her character outside of guys it’s the missing sister! Nor how accurate it would be to what she would have been in the show.

Maybe I’m wrong, maybe I’m just jumping to conclusions or hating just to be a hater, but it really feels like whoever designed her fell into the trap of gotta make sure people can tell the male and the female apart! Which is a common trope in media, mostly cartoons, whether it be a comic or a movie, and it’s always been something iv hated. but like I said before, a feminine design has its place in a show or movie, but it ultimately depends on the character itself, and I feel as tho Frida could still be feminine, without erasing what would make her look intimidating, and like a foe that the turtles would have to fight, and eventually win over to join them and their family.

Anyway this is just my two cents, I may make an official redesign of Frida, maybe trying to incorporate what they were going for in the comic but with my own twist to it, who knows.

Legit got a massive spoiler the moment I opened twitter and then again on tumblr, so I’m gonna sound a little harsh but if you post uncensored or untagged spoilers of the new rise comic I am legitimately temporality blocking you, like it hasn’t even been out for a week people, can we please wait before posting EVERYTHING about the comic?

❗️Semi important update for those who care❗️

I’ll be taking a break from rise content for an unknown amount of time, the recent drama has really impacted me mentally and I just honestly feel so burnt out from it.

I feel bad but recently rottmnt has not been a safe space for me, it just feels so far from what it started out as, and it’s left a bitter taste in my mouth, It’s built up over time, the hate, in multiple forms, and it’s undeniable the impact it’s left on the fandom as a whole….

Maybe I’ll come back to it at some point, I don’t know when, i might still occasionally draw fanart, but I’m actively moving away from the fandom.

Close! Technically Tasi isn’t any specific fox species, he’s a Kitsune which in my story technically aren’t foxes (they just sorta look vaguely like them, hence why there’s differences between regular fox Yokai and actual Kitsune) but when designing Tasi I did pull inspiration from an actual fox species called the bat eared fox! Look at them, they are so silly!

Hello Pookie dookie! I’m going to assume this is about Tasi since you wanna [redacted] her everytime I post something about the creature.

✨- How did you come up with the Oc’s name?

This is actually funny, but Tasi wasn’t actually going to be her name originally, it was honestly just a placeholder till I could figure out something else, but as time went on Tasi just….kinda stuck? And it’s just their name now I guess lmao (one of her potential names was gonna be Tinker lmao)

🍎- What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?

Tasi doesn’t remember his biological parents, they were orphaned at a very young age and went in and out of Yokai orphanages, but never stayed in one place, Ofc this is until big Mama took her in and for awhile Tasi did view her as a motherly figure, but that didn’t last very long. So Tasi has never had a really good relationship with any sort of parental figure.

🎓- How long have you had the OC?

About 3 years now? Probably the longest iv had any OC tbh but tbh she looked waaaayyy different when I first started drawing up concepts of her character lmao. I like to think she has grown with me <3
