These are my maternal grandparents with the first three of their six children. My oldest aunt on the left, my only uncle by my grandfather’s side, and Mom on my grandma’s lap. For some time now, she was the only one alive in that photograph; but that changed two days ago. My beloved Mom passed away in the wee hour of Saturday, 18 November 2017, after a 4-year battle with Leukemia. She’s 85 years of age. I lost my best friend and cheerleader; but how my deceased brother would be overjoyed to be reunited with her. Any part not covered by that @xterrawetsuits and cap froze when I hit the SF Bay water this glorious Sunday morning. Back in September I was thinking of Polar Bear swim in what I thought was very cold but doable temperature. Not today!!! Took my nephew @jsnkde today, in hope he’d join us for a dip in the near future. Struggling in mounting and dismounting the Lyra: It is pointed to me that the difference in shape between the Lyra and the Trapeze makes it more challenging for me to tuck in the feet between the Lyra and my torso. Trapeze bar is flat. Lyra has an arc, so I have less space. Plus, my excess baggage in my belly made it tougher to tuck closer. The whale 🐳 isn't satisfied with just sitting, so it decides to stand. First time standing on a Trapeze, and finally taller than everyone else, haha. It's quite wobbly and lacking of grace, but in time I hope to improve.
