Misery Business (beforetheseasscent)
Sayaka was sitting in history class, waiting on the teacher to assign them partners for this assignment. The assignment was that they had to create a poster about a particular point in Japan's history. She was pretty decent at history, so this wouldn't be a problem for Sayaka. If she got lucky, she would just make the poster look pretty and the other person in the group would look up the information. She smiled to herself as she twirled her pen as the teacher called out partner names. This assignment was due at the end of class, and the students would give the oral presentation tomorrow first thing in class. Sayaka perked up at the mention of her name on the list. She listened to the teacher carefully to find out just who she was partnered with...when she heard the last name she ever wanted to hear.
She sat straight up and looked very displeased with this choice. Then again, Sayaka always stated to all her teachers that she had no problems working with absolutely anyone.
She sometimes hated that reputation she had to keep up. In any normal case, she would quietly tell the teacher that her and Touko did not get along, and request a new partnership. However, she didn't trust the teacher to actually keep such information private. Who knows what would happen if that got out to the media. She could see the headlines now.
"Famous Idol Sayaka Maizono Bullying A Famous Writer at Hope's Peak! Breaking News!"
The thought of someone taking her words out of context about the Touko situation made Sayaka angry just thinking about it. She sighed to herself, completely forgetting to listen to what the teacher was saying about the assignment. All she heard was to get a poster board from the front of the class. She was really dreading walking over and having to be nice to Touko. At least they were allowed to work in the hallways, so that if Touko did make any unnecessary comments, Sayaka could fire back.
She got up slowly and walked to get the poster board as instructed and walked over to Touko with the biggest fake smile on her face. She had to be nice...at least to get the work done. Sayaka opened her mouth and spoke up. "Hello Fukawa-san! It seems we will be working together for this project." She paused, smirking a little before speaking up again. "Oh! I know you are a little shy, so it's alright if you would rather me cover the oral part of the presentation!" She giggled and smiled cheerfully at Touko. "Where would you like to go work on this? We are allowed to use any hallway area!" She awaited an answer, and probably an insult.
