Let me start by saying that I don't condone Violence, especially between highbloods when around lowbloods, and doubly so, not in a workplace, which should be professional.
I (purple, 40s, beforian) work in an office. A coworker of mine (purple, 30s, beforian) and I got into an argument in regards to another coworker. She is a larger bodied goldblood, who has issues with psionic usage. He suggested that eXercise might help with the matter. I cautioned him that telling a plus sized person to eXercise can be in poor taste, and brought up medicull discrimination as a supporting thesis.
He brought to my attention that his kismesis is a doctor, and a respectable one. I did try to add that I was not insulting all doctors, howeVer, it was too little, too late. He pushed me, and I responded by striking him, paired with some strong words.
Here is where I may be the asshole. We were standing in the break room, accessible to all workers in the office, including lowblooded staff. A lower leVel employee (oliVe, I belieVe under 20) who I was preViously Very friendly with became frightened by the action, as did some others. While most told me that they understood my outburst, he has become Very shy and nerVous around me. Where he used to say hello to me, he now rushes away, refuses to make eye contact, and frequently acts anXious around me when unable to leaVe quickly. I haVe attempted to apologize to him for my outburst, and specifically for frightening him, howeVer, he became flustered, and quickly ended the conVersation.
This is Very distressing to me. We had a cordial relationship before, and I do not want him to feel threatened by me. I understand that to some eXtent I haVe no control oVer his emotions, but I did haVe control oVer my own actions. Others tell me to let it go, and not question it. I'm not so certain. Am I the asshole?

not quirking for privacy, I have a recognisable quirk given my career. Everyone involved in this story is beforan
So I (rust, 11 sweeps currently, 8 sweeps at the time, she/her) lost my lusus in an attack on my home for my opinions and the work I do. My lusus was stranger than most, and took in a second troll (rust-bronze cusp, 5 at the time, she/hi) who I considered like a hatchmate, in so much as you can. Because she was a mutant, I looked into culling multiple times, but it caused trouble with our lusus and it was really not worth the fight. Once our lusus passed, I made the only decision I could and gave up this mutant to the culling system.
The trouble comes in with the information I got recently. See, I called CPS to ask after hem, I was curious if she was doing well. They told me that the culler that hi was placed with was shut down following a cullee abuse investigation pushed for by a newly qualified culler (a lowblood, allegedly, though I doubt it. They don’t let golds cull), and while the other resident cullee was relocated, she had already disappeared.
I don’t know what happened, but I keep on asking myself, was I wrong? I’m only a rust, how could I possibly have managed to care for her and still succeed at my career?
