I first saw @wearekneehigh ‘s production of #DeadDog when I was 17 years old. I don’t want to be that cliche theatre student but it changed my life. I finally knew what theatre COULD be. Thought provoking, exciting, musical, enticing, dark, MEANINGFUL. 😱 . The year after seeing the show I was lucky enough to work with Kneehigh’s ex Artistic Director, Bill Mitchell. He didn’t work on Dead Dog, but he was full of its spirit and charisma and humour. It was only once but I still find myself missing him. I also found it funny studying him for one of my modules this year at uni. 😂 . Seeing Dead Dog again tonight was everything I needed it to be. Still as exciting and thought provoking and meaningful, still as aesthetically stunning, still as impactful! Kinda like Bill the pirate was. ☺️ .
