Trying this out...

hi, i’m sydney. 

i recently started college as an astrophysics major. boring, right? i very quickly figured out that physics was not something that i could force my brain to understand. so now, here i am with a shiny new journalism major and an obsession with fashion but no real writing experience. so based on a suggestion from my older sister, here i am, trying to start my very own blog. 

i’m open to any suggestions for what to write about or how to format and i look forward to this little adventure.

JLPT N5 prep ~.~

So like most of us, I’m also preparing for the JLPT’S. My goal is take the JLPT N2 next year. I’ve been formally studying Japanese for about a year now with a class but it was not JLPT structured. We used the Japanese for Busy people (2)  textbook (a full review will come soon :p). So i thought i would share how I’m prepping for N5. I want to be able to take N5 tests by August, i’ll be playing the catch up games to see what i actually know so I’m going hard. 

Resource:            

·       Remembering the Kanji (HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, there will be a review soon. A useful review trust me)

·       Grade 1 kanji book 

·       JLPT N5 textbook - the official one

·       Memrise N5 vocal

·       Genki 1 & workbook -(kind of using this, hopefully i’ll review this)

.       Japanese for busy people (3) 

If you have any textbooks that you can recommend me, especially if its PDF file or cheap please let me know. I’m in serious need for a comprehensive grammar textbook.

Living in Ukraine is so scary 😭 you can literally die any night. I fall asleep and live with strong anxiety.

It's funny how I can romanticize the idea of an older man in my imagination, but the moment one actually messages me on Tumblr, all of that disappears and I just feel uncomfortable.

Maybe it's because fantasies stay in your head, while reality doesn't.

Also, I don't think people read my "About Me" page. My age is literally written there. 😭

And one more thing... I don't even speak English. I'm typing this through a translator, yet almost everyone who messages me writes in English anyway.
