I made a TikTok of my year of learning watercolour to mark the end of 2021. This year, I’m thinking of learning to crochet. Or perhaps write my fucking book finally. Or… more watercolour. My therapist says it’s good for me.

A family member asked me to paint them some sharks. A thresher and a tiger to be exact. Swimming together. I sketched them out and realized they were accidentally kissing. Next thing I know, they are enemies to lovers, totally in love, gay sharks who want to swim into the sunset holding fins and raising baby shark pups.

So, obviously, I must protect these sharks and cannot ever give them away because I love them.

And now I’ve gotta paint more sharks. Platonic sharks. Just Friends Sharks.

And hopefully I don’t love them too.

With absolutely no training, never taken a class, or know anything about it - I’m trying to learn how to make art with water colours. Starting with watercolour colouring pencils.

If anyone has any tips or tricks or helpful hints, I would very much appreciate them.

I’m in a good form today because I am excited to start writing. When I say writing it comes with a notebook and a pen. I was encouraged to start doing it because Ricky gave me two Zebra pens (according to him it’s the best pen ever). Also I have read that there are many benefits from writing frequently. Of course blogging does count but it’s limited. I’m not that type of person who writes rants…
