ASM tech
So right now I'm assistant stage managing for one of our local equity houses and yesterday we had our first tech. From 9:30am-11:30pm. It was a bit stressful at first because I didn't have a per show check list yet but once the stage manager gave me one I got started. There are about 100 props on stage the entire show that are necessary for the story to move. So it is very important that they have ALL of them on stage. So I checked through the list twice and then went through my script for when I have to help actors with quick changes and such. The only one that is kinda hard is getting this girl completely soaking wet, covered in bloody scars, getting the boy in a little blood and opening the door for him to carry her in. I got the right timing for it yesterday though so it should be fine. After the show we have to put all the food away, reset for the top of the show the next day, clean out the coffee pot, and get notes. All of that takes about an extra hour-hour and a half. So homework this weeks gonna be a struggle. Luckily I had lunch from 3-5pm so I had a couple friends meet me at a local Ice cream shop to help me with music theory. The show runs a month and I run it thurs-sat every week I'm excited
