Answered an ad in the paper about a job, I'm just a kid, the adults seem like jerks, I better front up though and try to fit in.
My beef with people that are (ultra) late when meeting you (not 10 minutes late like over 20-30) is that they always have 300 excuses and apologies why they were late and how they’re “just such a person”
But they’re miraculously NOT late to appointments that do not tolerate being late like exams or Doctor’s appointments or work meetings or idk government municipal appointments or whatever .
So when you KNOW it is an important meeting that does not tolerate you being late because you will loose the appointment or you will get scolded at work or even threatened with being fired, you suddenly show up on time😃😃😃? How INTERESTING. Almost like when you prioritize being on time based on your perceived importance of the meeting, you are on time.
But when it’s your friend it’s okk to be 30 min late while someone waited for you in the cold or wasted their time and you’re sorry. And that’s all it’s all good. And god forbid you actually turn around and leave after 30 minutes , they will call you being offended why you didn’t wait for their princess ass to arrive (for the 10th time in a row) But when it’s the doctor or job interview you’re 10 minutes early 🤡🤡🤡 so basically you are capable of being on time , you just choose who to put in effort for.
Whoosh!
Anxiety culture is panicking if you're at all late to work, taking pains so you're NOT late, and ending up 15 minutes late when you thought you'd be 45 minutes early and PANIKKKKKK for the first half of your shift at least >.<
I worry so much about being late. Being late is like my worst nightmare.
Being late is not professional, right?
I hate to show up late with coffee bc people always assume it's bc of coffee. And no, I'm late with a cold coffee, the coffee was made long before I left home I just don't have any perception of time.
A cultural difference: being on time
