Wow what a day #beingthestory was an incredible event. A lot of touching stories from people turning adversity into positive change for other people. Congratulation to my brother @ricflomusic on having your rap therapy workshops for children in care recognised by the @guardian! It’s interesting how although we wasn’t raised in the same household we both used our creative talent as escapism and a way to express ourselves as children. Now as young adults we have decided to utilise our skills to give back. Just a few years ago I had the mindset that I didn’t have enough to give but when I started to share what I do have (tangible and not) I realised that a little goes a long way and it’s a very rewarding decision to make. Sometimes you have to remind yourself your doing AWESOME. All I achieved was a degree from University and graduate job at the time.. Little did I know I would go on to do skydiving, paragliding, marathons, travel across south east Asia, trek the Himalayans and play one of the biggest festivals in the world when I got back to the UK, Glastonbury 2017. Performing in front of 5000 people with my music peers @junglebrown “- Snippet from my presentation at #BeingTheStory 20/10/17 #Repost @ricflomusic ・・・ (2013) In reflection I can proudly say this year has been the best year of my life as I've felt more in control of my achievements than ever before. Half marathon. ✔️ Full marathon 6 months later. ✔️ Flying across the world to meet my dad for first time because I decided it's now or never. ✔️ Discipling my self to write an album for a year and finishing it. ✔️Sky diving!! ✔️ Our brain is the most powerful tool we will ever own.. I'm still in amazement of that very fact. Once you understand you are the control of that very tool and you can create whatever you want in life by the very knowledge you feed your mind, wonderful things happen. So never blame anyone for your situation, that's a common habit for the common people... It's a bad habit.
