I was rereading the score for L'elisir (got it from IMSLP), and one thing that everyone (myself included) seems to forget is that in the finale, Belcore literally sings: "Ciarlatano maledetto, che tu possa ribaltar!" ("Damned charlatan, may you tip over!", which I guess the "you" would mean Dulcamara and his carriage in this context). I know it doesn't have any effect on the plot, but damn if that isn't interesting...
