This is what happens when ships leave the loch

There’s a point just before a ship leaves it’s mooring when all the gulls that have settled will knowingly lift into the air together above it knowing that once it has cast off the churned water will produce food for them.

I imagine when I leave the loch it looks like this

Sometimes the loch is filled with ships because there is no room for them to tie up and so they wait and I imagine them all, drifting, ships with no home.
