I know I’m a little early but I was talking with baby-snakey and they were telling me about their oc’s and lore and how one of them marries two of your oc’s, Zach and Arthur because Arthur dies. So I was just wondering about the difference in dynamics between the different couples (Arthur and Daphne and Zach and Daphne) because I’m hooked and too curious to wait till December

I’m going to be so honest, @baby-snakey is genuinely the reason I put a lot of thought into Arthur and Zach lol. I absolutely love Daph’s character and she deserves some well-developed men to be with her!
Artie and Daphne were Hogwarts sweethearts. They were together before the second wizarding war really began so they had time to develop their relationship without that extra drama. Given Arthur’s role as a member of the Order of the Phoenix, I imagine that it didn’t break them apart but actually drew them closer together. Until of course Artie died.
Zach and Daphne’s relationship was one built on grief. Zach had lost his wife a few years prior and was a single dad to his twins. Daphne had lost Arthur and was a single mum to Jackson. They grew closer together, and eventually their relationship grew to one of love. Then again, Zach had feelings for Daphne for a while but he: a) repressed them out of respect for Arthur and b) didn’t want to be seen as a “replacement.”
Zach also lost his parents a month after he lost Arthur so everyone in the Glasspetal fam (Zach, Daph, Radiant, and Oliver Wood) were trauma bonding.
