Theseus Scamander did not get the opportunity to go into the field as often ever since he had become Head Auror of the British Ministry of Magic. Most of his days were spent filling out paperwork in his office.

So when he heard that a femme fatale, the daughter of Ronald Fahlstrom, was spotted in Diagon Alley, he jumped at the chance to go out.

As he briskly walked through Diagon Alley, he looked around at the various shops. With the cool winter air ruffling his brown hair, he could almost feel as if he was on holiday.

Almost.

Ashma Fahlstrom ran past him, carrying a bundle of Galleons that she had just stolen. She recognized him almost instantly. Between his brown hair, eyes, and tall stature, it was impossible not to.

Rather than rushing past, like most criminals probably would, she stopped in front of him, taking off her black hat and giving him a bow.

"Mr. Scamander."

She winked one of her sparkling red eyes, smirking, before putting her hat back on and sprinting away. 

Theseus was confused to say the least, but amused. He began to sprint after her.

“Miss Fahlstrom! I’d like a word with you!”

As he ran, his hand went to his pocket and he drew out his wand. 

Ashma glanced behind, noticing how he was following her. While running past a lamppost, she hooked her arm around it and jumped up. She spun around, grinning.

“How very rude of me. I don’t believe I introduced myself Mr. Scamander.” She held out her hand. “Ashma Fahlstrom.”

Once Theseus caught up to her he took her hand, kissing it. Then, he gripped onto her wrist.

“Charmed.” He pointed his wand at her. “You’re under arrest.”

In one swift movement, Ashma flipped over the lamppost. Using the momentum from the jump, she knocked him to the ground on his back. Theseus landed on the cobblestone ground, wincing.

Ashma leaned down, her legs on either side of his body. Her face was inches from his.

“I’m afraid I’m going to have to decline Mr. Scamander.”

Theseus gave a short laugh before putting one hand on the nape of her neck and the other on her waist. In one swift motion, he pulled her down. As she gasped, he rolled them over, so he was on top of her.

“And why might that be?” asked Theseus. 

Ashma gritted her teeth together and grabbed onto his forearms, rolling them over so she once again was on top.

“Because I am a very busy woman.” Her lips hovered over his, their breaths mingling together. She smirked. “And I have places to be.”

“Do you now?” His blue eyes flickered to her lips before going back to her eyes. “And just where do you have to be?”

She put a finger on his lips, shaking her head. “Now I can’t tell you love, or it’ll ruin the mystery.”

Ashma quickly got to her feet and started to run off again. As she took a few steps forward, she turned around and gave him a small two fingered salute with a grin on her face.

Slightly winded, Theseus got to his feet. He had noticed how his pulse quickened every time she touched him, and he didn’t like it.

“Bombarda!”

A few yards away from her, the cobblestone corner of a storefront collapsed, forming a large blockade. 

Ashma smirked and turned around, leaning against the broken stones. She waited for him to catch up before speaking again.

“Impressive,” she said. “But I have an ace up my sleeve.”

Theseus stood in front of her, his hands on his hips and a matching smile on his own face.

“Care to enlighten me, darling?”

Ashma stood on her toes, leaning in close to him. Her lips hovered over his.

“I’ll see you around love.”

In an instant, her clothes and hat fell to the ground. Theseus’s eyebrows raised.

A black raven emerged from the clothes, flying up in front of his face. It gave him a wink with one of its ruby red eyes before flying off into the London sky.

For a few moments, Theseus remained in the same spot, watching the raven fly off. Then, he started to laugh.

Q for Victoria: which of these would best help when you’re stressed? Weighted blanket, warm clothes, comfort food/drink, calming music, a nice bath, hugs, etc.

Any-couple question: an old childhood wound (any kind) only the other was able to heal?❤️‍🩹

Also I’m sorry for answering this later, I have been working on school for a bit.

1. This is a fun question! Delilah and Garreth: Garreth will make Delilah Pepperup Potion when she's feeling really down; Delilah makes him soup. It's good soup. He likes the soup. 10/10 soup. Leander and Sharlotta: They both will take a spontaneous hiking trip; Sharlotta because she knows Leander would love to see the flora, Leander because he knows Sharlotta misses the cold and being outside. Newt and Evangeline: Newt will literally throw Eva in with the kelpie to keep her spirits up because for some reason they really, really like each other; Evangeline cuddles with Newt when he's feeling overwhelmed or down Theseus and Ashma: Ashma has literally kidnapped him before so like. She does it whenever he needs something new in his life. He gets kidnapped from his office at least once a week. Theseus once sang to Ashma when she was incredibly sick and it was "the funniest thing he has ever done in his entire life" so he. Yeah. Keeps that in mind. Percy and Victoria: making out /hj Radiant and Oliver: Oliver takes Radiant flying whenever she is feeling down; Radiant plays Quidditch with him when he needs a pick-me-up

2. Lemme just harness my inner Victoria for a second "Warm clothes and a nice bath. Water has been a place of refuge for me ever since third year when... well, that doesn't matter. And I don't think anyone would turn down a warm nightgown."

3. Get ready for some Popadoreeeee Poppy and Theodore both gave each other a family when they didn't have one as children. Poppy's parents were literally poachers and Theodore lost all of his immediate family (except in @leawshum's Modern AU where his aunt is with @gilded-blue-snake's Cosmia but that's one AU lmfao) so they had next to no one.

Do any of your couples have animagus forms? If they do, how do they interact differently in said forms? OR, if they don’t have animagi forms, how do their patronuses interact (idk if patronuses can canonically interact but just pretend lmao)

Hey Valentine! Three questions works perfectly haha, I'm back at school so I don't have as much time for fun stuff like this.

1. So, Perctoria are actually both animaguses (anamagi? Idk) Victoria's animagus form being a mute swan, Percy's being a Canadian goose. Most of the time, they just use their animagus forms to travel incognito, so their dynamic really isn't that different, but Percy is still incredibly protective of Victoria, even as a goose. I have this image of Victoria being mugged or something and her mugger being absolutely destroyed by this goose 😭

Crude edits by me, actually good art by @light-of-the-room. The things around Victoria's neck are bracelets from @talktothepinkquill's Eljay lol. Ashma Fahlstrom is also an animagus! Being a raven, she likes very shiny things, so she frequently steals Theseus's Auror badge and causes havoc in his office.

2. I'm trying so hard to put any of my HL couples in the modern AU but I'm struggling, so congrats Glasswood you're going to the 1800s. Societal expectations of women were very different in the 19th century. Radiant wouldn't have been able to be as brash and sarcastic as she is in main canon, and I very much doubt she would have been allowed to play sports like Quidditch. Meeting Oliver would probably be a bit more of a challenge. Once they get together though? Fireworks. Explosions.

3. Leander and Sharlotta yapping because I don't yap about them very often lol Sharlotta very often will trail off mid-sentence. Most of the time it's because she is trying to translate Ukrainian to English. Leander did find this incredibly irritating when they first met, but he became more patient with time. Leander's obsession with plants does occasionally annoy Sharlotta into adulthood though lmao
