This is our friend Dr. Shawn Schoen with @AMSAcupunctureHerbs4Pets. So, does your Veterinarian cuddle with your dogs? .......... Nola had her acupuncture before Han, but didn’t feel she got enough snuggles. After Han got his needles, Nola was adamant about pushing her way in for cuddles. Luckily Han was being super grown-up and didn’t mind sharing. When Coby’s electricity goes out and she has to move in with her four #pitbulls until it’s fixed. 😆 🐾 SLUMBER PARTY! 🐾 You know how I always say, “every moment is a training moment?” Well, here is a beautiful training moment! This is exactly why we train. 🐾 Superhero Tip: Quite literally, I have this conversation with every single client. It’s in our training manual. You never know when you will have to pick up and go in an emergency 🚨 with your dogs. #BePrepared! Coby has trained and socialized all four of her #pitties so well it was easy for her to drive back over here and get them all settled. After she left here for the day and arrived home she found out the electricity in her area would be out for at least 24hrs. 100+ degree heat. No problem. The rest of her family went to a hotel and she came back here with all of the dogs. Four #APBT’s, Three #Rotties and an #AmStaff. Ate dinner right where you see them. Enjoyed bully sticks right where you see them. All snuggled up while we watch #12Strong right where you see them. Everything in life becomes easier when your dogs are well trained and socialized. Waiting until there is an emergency is too late. Waiting until your dog learns bad habits is too late. Starting right away, the day your new companion comes home is ideal. 🏆So friggin’ proud of our little Hannah! She is just so sweet and so beautiful and such a good girl! Sandy and Jerry are amazing human companions to Hannah; this is actually the third rottie I’ve helped them with and they always do fantastic. Teela, the first is displayed proudly in our memorial hall. Scarlet is still with us! I think I have about five minutes left before my eyes close and I drift off to dreamland. I’d like to spend them with you. .............................................................. This little clip is raw footage from this evenings #ForceFree Remote collar group class. Please meet #Beasty the #GSD, #Ash the #Weimaraner, #Cappy the #Poodle mix and #Jazz the #Boxer mix. One of them is a biter, one is super fearful, one of them is a teenager, one of them can get a little snippy and two of them are still intact males. All mastering off leash reliability in a group setting. This is a super relaxed version of Ecollar training that anyone can do with professional guidance. The dogs are taught to get in and stay in pack drive; a much deeper level of bonding, but do not need to be in a precise position. We also do precision obedience work in other classes, but this class has a more relaxed user-friendly feel. Has this ever happened to you? - You wake up and look at your appointment book and see only three things scheduled so you think, “Wow, I’m going to get tons of things done today and be super productive!” - Then you crawl in bed super tired because you have been on the go, non-stop, all day, but I didn’t accomplish one thing on my list of to-do’s! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• What the heck did I do today? Of course the usual eat breakfast, feed and care for the dogs, shower and dress stuff. There was a very enlightening long phone call. Lots of reflection, realizations, awakening type stuff. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Potty breaks and play for the dogs. I’m pretty sure there were emails (tech support). There was definitely this cool guy: @IAmHerotheHero! He is on his 6th lesson with us and so far no reactivity, no Villain, just a super dog! He is doing so well that we added on an extra 45min to his lesson so we could work on fun stuff like “name & explain”, leave it / take it / release with tug, along with some extra Nola distractions. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• More tending to dogs and #RallyObedience class! Han and I always have fun in this one; it’s our favorite! We missed Ryu and Rambo, but had a great time with Tito and Cole! More tending to dogs. And me too. I ate something. Then bed! HELP!! HELP!! HELP!! .......... 😆 When a super awesome day nearly ends in tragedy! Yep, I did it. #TwinkieDefense, er, I mean, Popcorn 🍿 defense? So, all joking aside, #thathappened. What was I thinking? I wasn’t. 😕 Yeah, that happens sometimes. .......... I ALWAYS pull my hair back when doing toe nails. Always. That’s just a standard rule. I mean, everyone knows to do this! But today, I did not. At least not for the first two dogs. You want to know the funniest part? I was most worried it was somehow going to spin out of control and hit Han in the face! .......... Have no fear! Super Coby to the rescue! Fast as #TheFlash, she was there to rescue Han and I! In no time at all she sorted it out and untangled my locks with no noticeable damage! Coby is a real life Superhero! .......... Han Solo, representing SDiT’s and SD’s like a pro at @CactusCantinaRiverside! .......... The folks at Cactus 🌵 Cantina have been super supportive of all of us here at At the end of your leash for all of our workshops and conferences. Please stop in and thank them! .......... Han has himself all tucked into the corner while we waited for our table. Best of all, he’s all smiles! True SD’s and SDiT’s are clean, well mannered, quiet and respectful. It’s almost as if they aren’t even there! It’s so wonderful to watch him settle into this role. .......... I’m often asked what I would do if Han acted up in anyway. It’s a great question. All dogs can have bad days or bad moments or make a mistake. Depending on what that mistake is, if I could not correct it right away I would just take him outside and work to find the source of the issue.
