How the Revitalized Bell Labs in New Jersey Was Transformed Into Lumon Industries in 'Severance'
Inside Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey, where scenes from Severance were filmed.
i went to lumon today
so incredibly excited to share that my first short film, H.D.I.D.T.B.A.L. was officially selected for the Monmouth Film Festival!
This is extra special because it is officially the New Jersey premiere!! This project is such a deeply personal exploration of sapphic identity, I honestly cannot believe it went from an idea a friend and I started scribbling down at a bar to actually hitting the festival circuit.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported my gofundme, I am not kidding when i say this literally would not have happened without everyone who helped. ❤️❤️❤️ you guys made this possible and I am forever grateful.
If you are in the NJ area, please come out to see it! I would love to see your faces in the audience.

I drove up from the Philly suburbs to NYC for a concert, and on the way home I took a little side trip to Lumon.
Such a lovely space, really inviting to visit, with little shops and restaurants and generally pleasant vibes. T-shirts in that one window aside, there is really nothing Severance-y there, but it's a very cool place to walk around for a bit anyway.
My hometown now has a coworking, conference, and shopping space called Bell Works. It was once Bell Labs, a truly historic scientific organization and workplace—it was in Holmdel that scientists confirmed the Big Bang Theory by discovering that the expanding universe made a sound. I'm glad that this incredible building and work of architecture was able to be reused as part of the community: our library, once sad and small and often flooded, has a gorgeous, big, light-filled space in here, which makes my childhood heart unbearably happy.
