Hey there! Thanks for reading my story, I'm glad you liked it! It did take me almost 1y and a half to produce all the episodes, so yeah...as projects go this one was a bit insane.

So, the aliens. For their faces I've used both CCs and CAS items, depending by which character. I'll add a list, if you have something specific in mind that you can't find let me know.

My Designer Skyline

There's a ring on my hand that reminds me of you, of a bandstand all showered in bokeh lighting. Of a mumbled speech and a fumbling pocket. A bridge by the river, and your favourite ship, in the city of many charms. It's easy to find fault in this place, to complain about our predicaments. To sit and ponder on the melancholy thoughts that fight my tranquility for dominance. My mind can be so empty of anything but doubt. But when I see you, I see everything is good. I see all I admire, in wicked grins and paper models. Math equations, locomotives, history, science and politics, you have a beautiful opinion on them all and I could listen to them until the stars fell asleep. You construct great ideas with me and our kingdom continues to grow, our little haven from the strangeness of the outside. A place we can share all our weaknesses, our vulnerabilities, our small victories, and our treasures. A place where I can play all my happy songs for you. I can see it now. The pastel brickwork in the pavements, the iridescent twinkle of the suburban lights, the gleam of the glass, the shrill whistle of a steam train, the whisper of the wind through the smaragdine park, the towering monuments that dominate the skyline...our own masterpiece. Little by little we create our happy empire. My greatest hopes and wishes are locked in the glittering city hall like precious diamonds, where I hope you will put yours too. After all, we built this together.

Fighting the Lack of Passion

I think we all have a time when we stop caring about everything. Our friends, our family, our hobbies, self care, everything. We all feel apathy creep in because what’s the point it’s all just going to fade anyway, everything dies.

And then the frustration comes. There’s still that part of your brain that is telling you to do things, like wash your clothes, go for a bike ride in the sun, sing a song, clean your room, say hi to a friend, eat, do something! And these two sides are constantly fighting each other, causing you uncertainty about which one is what you really want.

You get days of madness where you actually listen to that voice and start to do something because you believe you will be fulfilled if you do it. But then you do it, and halfway through you get discontented, angry. You don’t understand why you aren’t feeling fulfilled, all you feel is annoyance. All you feel is confusion, anger, and finally the apathy that was just below the surface returns and you’re back to watching stupid videos on YouTube all day long, watching other people live their lives and do stuff while you watch, and get more discontent and angry.

That was me today, it’s still me right now. No sign of an end anytime soon.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll feel better.

The Rogue Gift

Star Wars seems like a fitting Christmas present for you. It would be most fitting with a giant screen and hand to hold. I have IMAX tickets to book and now I'm excited because I can't wait to see your face when we go, so amazed and exhilarated. We make a day out of it and then in a happy fashion we stride to the cinema. My fingers tap the screen, not comprehending, not understanding. Why are these not IMAX tickets?? Then it hits me. I've made a mistake. I've done it again. I've made a mess and you're present is no longer remarkable. You laugh it off and I can't help the tears that start to come. My anger has filled me out and now it is spilling onto my face. How could I be so stupid? How could I do this? Why aren't you angry at me? Why are you comforting me? I take myself away to let gravity pull my emotions back down. We go in and I try my hardest not to overthink. You enjoyed the movie but I'm still bitter with disappointment. I wanted you to have the best present, and I couldn't even accomplish that. You take my hand and lead me to a secret, a sparkling ice skating rink hiding behind a grandiose building. My sad eyes take it all in, and the sadness dissipates a little. I watch the twirling figures do their circular dance, and I turn to see you trying to capture me in the moment. I can't help but smile, because it's in moments like these, I know that you love me the most. I hope you hold my hand as long as we live.

Do you ever think about it? The realisation that someone genuinely loves you? The feeling of being an integral part of someone’s world, that they would feel broken without? To know you wield that much power over someone…it is both an honour and grave responsibility.

Sometimes you have to be angry

A year has almost come and gone and you still hold my hand. You still smile when you see me, and wrap me in your arms. You still take me wonderful places and share your happy thoughts with me.

But you also share your darker thoughts.

You share your vanities, your judgements, your insecurities, and last night you made them my own. I never thought I was stunning, never flattered myself that I was something to be held in awe. I don’t like pretending to be something I know I’m not.

But I never thought you would be the voice I dread to hear. For that one moment, you were the voice of my greatest fear.

You were the voice of vanity. Of criticism. Of shame. I have never been so furious with you, I’ve never felt this dejected by you.

I don’t understand what to do with you.

Mercy takes shape inside you, and you realise what you’ve said. But I don’t want to see your shame. I’d rather stay away. It bottles up and up and up, threatening to spill over as the little thought turns into many thoughts of despair and fists striking walls.

And that’s when you turn up with the flowers.

I can’t hear your words, all I can hear are my tears, your silence, when you realise your words are nothing. And we sit there.

And then I hear your tears. Not on your face, in your voice. The more I look, the more I see your pain at causing me pain.

You ask for forgiveness, and what can I do but give it to you? I love you.

I wouldn’t have anybody else.
