I realize now that the only reason they introduced Gena’s character was to up Bellamy’s manpain and perhaps even push him to Pike’s side. I mean, I was aware that the probability she would die along the course of the season was very high, but I really did not expect it to be that soon. The fact that she only lasted three episodes but that they also made a lot of efforts to make us like her - have her give Bellamy the Iliad, scenes that clearly show se makes him happy - it all proves that really, she was just manpain fodder.

And that makes me mad because the character could have been given more depth and flesh, and because I don’t like women being used like that, and because I’m scared this will be the pretext to destroy Bellamy’s character.

Three episodes. That’s so transparent it’s infuriating.
