FASHION ALWAYS REPEATS ITSELF: PALAZZO PANTS
Loose, wide-legged, usually pleated—palazzo pants give their wearer the mobility and freedom of movement of a trouser, but maintain an ultra-feminine, skirt-like appearance. Little wonder they first appeared in the 1920s as one of the first acceptable trouser styles for women, sported by daring advocates of dress reform.
By the 1930s the initial shock and novelty had worn, but palazzo pants remained a popular beach and loungewear style. They then fell out of fashion for several decades, along to enjoy a resurgence among flower children and fashionistas in the late 1960s and 70s.
Today they are back again! The chic, summery style has been populating runways, boutiques, and of course, the city streets!
There are a variety of ways to take on this challenging trend. You could go all-out retro with a look that references the 1920s, as these women have done:
Or make a more subtle nod to the 70s, with modern influences mixed in, which this lady does by combining whimsical print palazzos with a basic a tee and super current, chunky framed glasses:
A third option is to bring the pants fully into the 21st century with a look that is totally present day, as this fashionable Parisian does by adding a tailored trench, an oversize it-bag and shades, and the season’s chunky platforms:

Whatever your interpretation of the trend is, we can help!
The Multi-Colored Wide Leg Pant from Condor, or allows you to trace the trend back to its roaring twenties roots:
Counter balance the bold print with a solid color top, and add an over-sized floppy sun hat to complete your look!
The Sena Midnight Blue Petal Pant from Turtle is an elegant option for girls who like the old-fashioned vibe of palazzos, but want a slightly updated look. Pair them with a sexy peep-toe sling-back as shown on the model to show off those ankles and calves!
For an interpretation that is one-hundred-percent present day, sport the Cascade Harem Pants from Babel Fair, or the Aztec Printed Pocket Leggings from Bellaritta.
The slouchy legs of these pants are a nod to palazzos, but both have ultra-modern tailoring and taper at the ankles. Pair them with a killer platform wedge, and a fitted blazer for an up to date take on a classic style!
