Even a bell needs some pampering every once in a while. 🔔💕✨

At long last, this piece is finished! I started it a few weeks ago, and I've been chipping away at it on and off for quite some time. The lineart was definitely the most frustrating part, but I quite enjoyed the rendering process at the end. This is my largest Bellburrow piece to date, and to be honest, I'm really happy with the end result!

Since Benjamin has a bell for a head, which is more than likely made of actual brass, I imagine that he needs to get it polished/buffed regularly in order to keep it nice and shiny. Of course, Gretchen is more than happy to take the time to do that for him—she loves to ensure that he's happy and well-cared for, after all! So Benjamin allows her to do so once they become more comfortable with one another during dating.

Gretchen sources her metal polish from brass instrument shops in Mezzo Melodyland, ensuring that it's high-quality and safe to use on Benjamin. And once she gets to work, she won't rest until every inch of that bell head is sparkling. Meanwhile, Ben gets to relax and enjoy the attention. 💚💕✨

I had expected Gretchen to be the one to fall for Benjamin first since that's what happens in their actual lore. But honestly, I'm not complaining. This is still a huge win for Bellburrow!

It's Bellburrow hours once again, everyone!! Here are some fake text convos I recently made, inspired by the ones that @flora-razzlepop made for their Razzlesaw ship a while back. 💚💕

I tried to choose ones that best fit the dynamic between Ben and Gretchen when they're dating. Yes, I'm aware they're very corny. 🤣

Speaking of which, I still haven't really shared much info about their dynamic. Which is surprising considering I think about these two literally all the time. So I figure now's a good time to talk a little bit about it!

Once Ben and Gretchen get to know each other and eventually start dating, they both become more comfortable with being silly and affectionate with one another. In particular, I love to think of Ben as the teasing type who constantly uses pet names and says things to make Gretchen flustered. But as shy as she is about it, she just can't get enough of the teasing. 🤭💕

That's not to say that Gretchen can't return the affection. Maybe she isn't as silver-tongued as Ben, but she's always willing to let him know how utterly beautiful and loved he is whenever she can. Sometimes Ben is taken aback on those rare occasions where Gretchen is brave enough to be a bit more forward with her feelings than usual. 💚

I can't believe it's been one whole year since I've fallen for that smug British bell! I will say, I did not expect to become so attached to him, much less start shipping my OC with him. And yet, here we are.

Through Bellburrow (and through my Corporate Clash fixation in general), I've been able to meet, befriend, and connect with such lovely people over the past year, some of whom also selfship with Benjamin! And that's a beautiful thing, in my opinion. Selfshipping can bring so many people together! 💚💕

Shoutout to the amazing artists @neokatt and @aynurdoodles for gifting me such lovely Bellburrow fanart a few weeks ago!! It means more to me than you know! And thank you to everyone else who enjoys seeing my little selfship, as silly as it may be. I really appreciate the love and support from you guys! 🥹💕✨

Admittedly, I do feel a bit bad that I haven't drawn Ben and Gretchen together as much as I would have liked to. It's been a whole year of me shipping them together, and I've barely made any art of them! I definitely want to do my best to change that, since I really crave seeing cute and fun interactions between the two.

But, anyways! Once again, happy 1-year anniversary to Bellburrow!! 🎉🎉💚💕✨

Everyone and their mother is playing the new Tomodachi Life demo as of late. I thought it looked like fun, so I recently jumped on the bandwagon and gave it a try!

Currently I only have two residents, Gretchen and Benjamin. I might add a third one later down the line, but so far, the interactions between these two have been so adorable!

So far, they seem to be getting along pretty well, which I'm really happy about!

Even if they sometimes argue over silly stuff. 🤣

Benjamin also really likes the soccer ball I gave to him!

And this moment completely melted my heart. The Benjamin bubble? Hello?? That is way too cute, oh my goodness. 😭💕✨

I may share more of my gameplay later on. As someone who's never played a Tomodachi game before, I'm honestly enjoying the demo so far! I'd say it's likely that I'll purchase the full version when it comes out. :]

Such a small detail, but I really love how you included the little ridge above Gretchen's nose! Not many people draw her with that detail, and I often forget it myself when I draw her.

The way they're both blushing and looking into each other's eyes has me weak. And I really love the soft colors you used! This is way too cute, I swear. 🥺💕

When you're a Toon and your boyfriend is a Cog with a demanding work life, things can get a bit difficult when it comes to holidays.

Benjamin had warned Gretchen beforehand that getting Valentine's Day off would be difficult for him, and thus wouldn't be guaranteed. Still, Gretchen held out hope that his superiors would make an exception, just this once.

Of course, when she receives the bad news through a letter from Benjamin, she is heartbroken. She had somewhat expected this, but it doesn't make it sting any less. It serves as yet another reminder that, because their ways of life are so different, conflicts like this are bound to arise.

Despite her disappointment, Gretchen is not upset or angry with Benjamin. If anything, she appreciates the fact that he at least tried to get the day off. It also warms her heart to know that she has a lovely picnic in a few days to look forward to. 💕
