*It was rather late, nearly the entire house was in a deep slumber. Even the house maid Lily had gone to bed. It was peaceful until a knock broke through the silence harshly. Followed by the bell several times. They seemed rather impatient at the door and was taking it out on the door bell.*
*Arrus was always a light sleeper, being the first to wake to answer the door. Yawning, he rubbed his sleepy eyes as he turned on a couple of lamps so he could see as he went to the door.*
*He definitely wasn’t expecting to see a well dressed middle aged woman to be standing at the door way, several suit cases were behind her as if she was moving in.*
*The woman walked in without being invited, giving Arrus a smile but only offered a quick peck to the cheek, confusing Arrus even further. Removing his glasses, he rubbing his eye sockets, trying to make sure he was seeing straight.*
*Arrus’s eyes widened ad he almost stumbled back from the news. Was this woman really his mother?*
*He tested the word on his tongue. He had dreamt of being able to see his mother, he had thought it would never happen. Tears started to well up in his eyes, choking up a bit as he stared at this woman.*
*Arrus couldn’t hold back. He threw his arms around her, pulling her into a hug as he let out a happy sob. She simply flinched and awkwardly patted his back, seemingly not as touched as Arrus was in their reunion.*
*After a moment, she pulled back and let out a yawn. Arrus nodded simply nodded, sniffling as he wiped his eyes. He quickly got her settled in, brought in all of her bags. He wished he could stay up and talk to her. Ask her all of the questions he wanted to ask her for all of these years but he was just happy to finally meet her. Regardless, Arrus didn’t get any sleep that night.*
