After everything that had happened Kate needed a vacation, and being able to spend the holidays with her hero and his family was perfect. New Years day was the last day of that vacation, sure Laura and Clint had offered to her to stay for longer but she didnt want to take advantage of their hospitality and overstay her welcome. She gave everyone a hug goodbye and made sure she had Clint’s real number before she asked to be taken to the train station and dropped off.
It had been a great time for Kate and she didnt want it to end, but like all good things it had to and she had to come back home and deal with everything that came after. She had to fix and clean up her apartment after the tracksuits had tossed their molotov cocktails into her place, she had to get ready to testify on her mother’s involvement with Wilson Fisk and his operations and the murder of Armond, then of course there was the cleaning up the called off wedding to Jack.
Kate walked into her apartment and expected to shiver as she remembered the windows that were broken, however she had seen that most of the work she had expected to do was already fixed. There were a few things she had to do still but the apartment windows were fixed and the place was warm, and seemed like someone had been living here, “Hello?” she called confused wondering if there was someone squatting in her place. She wasnt expecting anyone, but then again alot of what happened was very much unexpected.
