Hey Erica, I did watch all of North of North!!!

I just thought it was excellent!! So many good things to say!!

I wasn't surprised per se but very excited by the fact that it kept a pretty light-hearted tone throughout while they were dealing with pretty heavy subject matters like domestic abuse, parental neglect, and colonial trauma. Simply elegant writing, the writers are really masterful here, where the light-heartedness doesn't diminish the truth that these characters live. And really, these elements together really make the show so strong!!!

Siaja has become a top-tier fail girl in my books!! She is such a fantastic character and just gets into so many messy situations, and I love her all the more for it. The show really makes you cheer her on! AND I AM CHEERING HER ON!!! I want her to have her own life and help the town to thrive!!! Also, this show is so good at making you ship her and Kuuk together despite their messy situation, this show has such fun mess!! Speaking of mess, I really like her parents. They are very hot and very deserved of that second chance romance. Thank you very much.

I hope this show gets renewed and finds a foothold in public consciousness bc this is truly a gem of show. Really fun and endearing characters in a setting that I personally haven't seen in a scripted series at all. Great fashion for so many characters. Did it make me tear up at the end? yeah. Did I also cheer at my laptop screen at the end? YEAH!!
