how to properly care for your writer
feeding: - comment/reblog regularly and often - maintain a schedule as even if the fic is old as dirt- comment. your writer will appreciate any and all forms of sustenance especially those that cross the span of time and space. we are ancient beings that require fuel to inspire the old speak to channel through our finicky muse tempered vestiges and share our stories with you
affection - leave a like or kudos- if you can't leave more than one- reblog/ comment "second kudos" or "ten thousandth kudos" or "infinite kudos" -leave a gif or key smash or emoji if worded comments are intimidating. a lot of writers were readers too at the beginning- and many of us were shy. let this be the encouragement you need to share your joy about our beloved fandoms/ characters/ fics as we love to do with you <3
conditions - respect writers time, energy and space. creating is a wonderful and awful process as many a writer will inform you. do your best to make your writer feel as comfortable as possible. -heed all warnings, ratings and wishes. (minors, please heed them most aptly !!) - do not approach if you are a blank space blog as the odds are not in your favor to maintain a connection. writers fear the blank, empty swaths of those blogs on this hellsite as they do blank documents. as they do lacking character development. as they do the glaringly deep, dark abysses of plot holes. the writer will feel unsafe in its natural environment and will react accordingly.
connect -all writers are their own beings. if the writer is open to this (quest marker: ask box)- you can get to know them/ their works/ characters motivations/ playlists/ writing processes and participate in their care and keeping like how best to support them :)

Wow—this is a staggering notification!
I began sharing my writing a few years ago now and that feels weird to write because it feels like I wrote some of those fics yesterday. I still feel new to fandom and fanfic and part of that has been due to some involuntary hiatus- which makes me all the more thankful for my beloved readers!!
Thank you infinitely for your support on this hellsite, dear reader!
Because I write for fun I try not to pay attention to numbers since this isn’t about chasing algorithms etc… however this number means an incredible amount to me. Between my own fics and my fic recs- I love seeing waves of reblogs of my work and other writers as those fics find homes in readers hearts. It always gives me a giddy feeling to see reader’s engagement with fanfic. Thank you thank you thank you!!

I hit a follower milestone awhile back (and we are approaching another one?! Like omg hiiii and thank you all so much! ^_^) and I was in the process of figuring out how to celebrate this when my offline life got messy. And it’s taken another turn as of late and unfortunately not in the direction I was hoping.
Some of y’all may know that I have OCD and one thing I struggle with is doing things when they aren’t “just right”. I have a lot of guilt over not being able to celebrate these milestones in the way I feel y’all deserve. I’ve written and deleted variations of this post so, so many times. Right now the stress in my offline life is aggravating my chronic illnesses/ fatigue and just overall is kicking my ass so as much as it pains me to admit- I don’t know when I’ll be able to do a proper celebration in the way that I want to. And I really wish things were different.
Combined with celebrating all of you, I’m approaching my first year with this blog and my AO3 account and the amount of support has been incredible. Being apart of fandom in the way that I have this year and the way that y’all have allowed me- I can’t even put into words how much it has meant.
It’s been intimidating, rewarding, frustrating, empowering, validating in ways I never expected and so much more to create and share with y’all. Every time that I get some spoons I just want to use them for y’all 😅

Dear beloved readers and moots,
I edited this one down or else you'd see the full length fics lmao! To be honest, I was more excited to see this YIR over my main blog because I tried to fic rec as much as possible alongside posting my own writing! If I read it- I rec'd it! Sadly, this past month my fic reading and writing has been greatly hindered due to offline life :/ hoping that will change come the new year and you'll see me more active again!! :D There are so many amazing fics sitting in my drafts just waiting to be read and rec'd to all of my followers here- I can't wait until I have time to read fic again!!!
As for this Year In Review- I posted here 32 times (not all fic but at least 20 is fic!)?! And I have even more fics on my AO3- just- WOW to see it like this is pretty mind blowing especially considering I only started posting in July of this year!
Huge thanks to all my mutuals and readers- your support has made this venture into fandom so incredible and has been such a bright light in my life this year!! I am incredibly proud of the Will Miller posts that made it into my top five- including one of my first fics of him (Progress & PB puffs), one that I dumped a lot of my struggle with OCD into (your love is awake you know my mind) and the first chapter of my first solid attempt at a series!!! (all i wanted). The TF fandom has been amazing! I have met and made so many lovely mutuals in this fandom (mentally tagging the entire TF discord here 💖)- and the readership?? Y'all are awesome! I have to give a special shout out to the Miller brother fans- I whumped the shit out of these bois and y'all keep coming back for more XD I LOVE YOU!!! Don't worry my Rick Flag besties- I haven't forgotten you!! My top two posts are because of you lovelies and I am so amazed by the love these fics have received!! I really stretched my smut wings with What Will Stay and It's something along the way is my first foray into a/b/o dynamics and I'm quite happy with it and so happy to see y'all enjoying it too! :) Writing has been such a rewarding creative outlet for me this year and so has my fandom experience on this site thanks to all of you! ^_^ 💖💖💖

But for real, live action Buggy pulled so many people (myself included) into this fandom by the tHROAT it was like the standard way to join for a while there and it’s only going to continue as we get more of him.
