What are your favorite hcs or tropes on how they get together? Or do you have like, favorite Aus for them? (I personally have been toying with the idea of a modern fantasy au with Steve being a cervitaur and Jonathan accidentally finding him one day he's in the forest tbh)

My favorite hc for how they get together is like, after they fight the demogorgon together and Steve is In On The Bullshit Now their social circles in high school slowly overlap and they see more of each other-- and realize that maybe they aren't that different after all. I also always hc that Steve falls first. He's introduced to people that aren't like Carol and Tommy and is just so fascinated by Jonathan's music and literature tastes. He kind of asks a lot of questions and tries to get Jonathan to explain things to him and show him new music-- you know just being a good pal. But of course there is motive and the motive is Steve is in love and it's so sweet it's sickening. The whole time Nancy is just like "Steve.... Steve this is embarrassing you have to SAY something." and is supportive but just loves teasing Steve that he's out of his league
