Week 9!!! A.k.a. The week things got moving again!!!
Finally! Holy cats! I realized this week that my weight hasn't gone down in over a month!!!! Ugh talk about the most depressing thing ever. Especialy considereing I was running at least 5 times a week and eating the best I could during this time! *sigh*
Oh well.
This week it finally went down! I am now at 197.5! So that is 2.5 lbs down! Woopwoop! I am finally at my goal of being below 200!! I have been teasing this for WEEKS! It was so nice to see the scale without a two in front of all the numbers. I need to work super hard to keep it going down though. I can just feel my resolve slipping. Which is bad.
Also I blame peanut butter for a lot of my problems. Suddenly it is all I want to eat. I have gone through almost an entire jar by myself in a week. I mean a big jar. Is this bad?
Thoughts on being below 200 lbs
It feels great. I know it's just a number, but I can't even remember when I was below 200 lbs. It has to be early to mid high school when I weighed less than that.
But now the weight loss has slowed down. And I still have a monstrous floppy bisected stomach that needs to go away. My upper arms are like sails with the loose skin on them. I need to start exercising again, especially weight training.
It's just difficult to recover on keto when you weight train, though. I did it a bit a few months ago and after the first two or three times, it was taking 4 days before my muscles felt even remotely back to normal. This means I might need to start upping my daily carbs a bit, at least enough on the days I work out to help my muscles recover after a workout.
I've found great success on days when I had a carby lunch, such as a visit to the indian buffet, and then spent the rest of the day toiling with a shovel in the garden until sundown. The next day I did not see a weight spike, as I'm pretty sure I burned off all the carbs I had eaten that day.
Ah well. I'll experiment with a week or two of eating a little more carbs on the day I work out. Wish me luck, whoever reads this. Probably no one but myself, but I don't really mind it.
