I Made A Rapunzel AU Y'all!

This was mainly just art practice/doodling at work, but here are some peices

My first piece, trying to get the coloring right

I wanted one with long hair and I was testing out giving Belphegor a shirt, which I kinda abandon quickly cause I didn't like it. I did end up altering how his cape laid though and made his ring into a broach - Its stll magical, just more protecting from the fae magic than paralyzing people - Oh yeah theres fae

And yes he's still a criminal so running from the cops, with a Sarah who got out of her tower like, three? days ago? She doesn't know what a royal guard is but if Belphegor says they need to run from them then fuck, they need to run

Just her dangling a bit. Not super proud of this one but didn't want to draw it again or start from scratch

Backstory - Nothing concrete, just my own musings while I was doodling.

Sarah is not a fae- her mother was a human mother pregnant out of wedlock, in a bit of a bad spot, but eventually she kinda settled near a very lavish manor owned by a very wealthy and famous Fae courtesan, Anemone (I'm getting back into the mighty nein sue me (The roleplay not the show I didn't like the show)) who had a very lavish garden. The pregnant woman started to sneak into the garden to steal food, and she had a preference for Rapunzel lettuce. Anemone knew this was going on but just let it happen and didn't care... Until the woman either (I haven't decided which one I liked better) Fell and hit her head on a rock, or accidentally ate a super poisonous plant. Either way she straight drops dead in Anemone's garden. Kati, who is the very young daughter of another Courtesan who works at the manor, finds her and runs to Anemone. Anemone does her best to save the baby via emergency C-Section, but this only works so well because the baby, aka Sarah, wasn't really ready to come out. So to save the little girl Anemone uses some fae magic, which is where the magic hair comes in.

Anemone names her Sarah, but calls her Rapunzel as a nickname. She's entirely human, but has magic hair (It does not knot at all, and grows when brushed) and mind physic abilities. Anemone, knowing that both Sarah's magic, Sarah being her daughter, and Aneome's line of work Anemone is worried about her daughters safety so kinda keeps her a secret and keeps her locked in her manor. Of course Sarah sneaks out sometimes, and is eventually discovered by a man who had gone to watch Anemone's shows often but couldn't actually afford a night with her.

He kidnaps a nine or ten year old Sarah, takes her to a tower in the woods a very long ways away, teaches her the basics of not dying and shows her what plants in the area are edible, leaves her some books, then goes back to Anemone to blackmail her.

Anemone offers pretty much everything she has to get her daughter back, but she doesn't actually have a lot of liquid cash, and the man thinks she's lowballing him/doesn't care that much. So he says that he'll just sell Sarah to someone else instead.

This promptly gets him torn apart limb by limb by a buch of pissed off fae, but Sarah is kinda still in the tower. She can leave it (there are stairs) but being super sheltered and never really going anywhere in her life ever, she's too scared to leave the immediate area. Anemone sends a lot of people to search for her daughter but literally no one knows where Sarah is, so she's kinda stuck there. There's enough plants to keep her alive and despite not being fae she does know a little bit of magic. Plant magic was some of what her mother had taught her, so she can stay alive, but can't find her way back home. As she's older she does try going into the woods, but never goes very far, and there's not civilization around.

Then, eventually, about a decade later, Belpehgor, a thief, stumbles upon the tower. He's used to dealing with fae and even has a charm to protect himself (His pendant (Ring in canon)) But even he's wigged out about the whole human hair thing, but goes up the tower anyway. Sarah thinks he's a fae and doesn't realize he's wearing a mask, and he things she's a fae cause of all the magic and the hair.

The misconception is cleared up though, and Sarah eventually brings up her mom, who was a courtesan with blue skin who never really wanted her to leave the house.

Belphegor connects the dots between that and the famous fae courtesan Anemone, who has blue skin, and has been offering a kings ransom to anyone who can find her daughter with insanely long hair. He's actually worked with Anemone and her friends before.

So Belphegor decides to help Sarah back to Anemone, but he's like, the number one most wanted criminal in the kingdom at the moment (Well maybe not number one but he IS the most recognizable) So that is more of a challenge than it should be.

The Fall of Belfagal

Once known as Belfagel an angel of the choir of principalities, they who deigned to guide humanity to righteousness. Belfagel was meant to show Adam and Lilith the righteous path. Yet often she found herself asleep under the tree of knowledge meant to keep the children from ever touching that cursed fruit...

So when Lucifer took the fruit she was fast asleep... yet it was not this that doomed her to join Lucifer...

For when the choirs condemned Lucifer she simply refused... not agreeing with his act, nor denying his guilt--- She simply was not awake to know what truly happened.

so Heaven threw her away... She never forgave them...
