Back into Broken Beat/Bruk these days. I forgot how much I loved how rhythmically complex and Black broken beat is.

Mark Force ft. Bembe Segue - Smoke it - Musicfuel - The Spirit and Energy Behind a Good Workout
Smoke it by Mark Force
Musicfuel is what I call my workout music. This song, Smoke it by Mark Force featuring Bembe Segue came on while I was on the elliptical machine and it became the musical lift for higher intensity and effort. With the tight groove and rhythm, a touch of unpredictability, I could feel the groove encouraging me to go hard. That's just what music does to my spirit. My soul says get moving! Thusly I dubbed this track as #Musicfuel.
It doesn't matter who the artist is, or what the genre or era is. It could be a funky disco cut or a head banging rock track, or it could be a rap song with a phat strip club beat, as long as it grooves and motivates, it's Musicfuel. Being elevated might have something to do with it too, lol.
Musicfuel is about energy and feel. Once you feel the music, your energy just rises. There have been workouts where my music went left field and I couldn't regain my original drive. Then there are the workouts when I go into the gym all humdrum and lethargic and the right song comes on and I dang near break the elliptical machine. That's why I attempt to choose my workout music wisely now. Of course, Musicfuel is an individual thing and what moves one person may not move another so you have to find the music that makes your body move.
I'm heavily into house music for my workouts right now, so don't be surprised to see plenty of house mixes with the #musicfuel hashtag as of late, but I do mix it up from time to time. If you have the time to do a twitter hashtag search of #musicfuel. You're sure to find a few gems of energy and sound.
