There's a weird 3 star movie out there ready to change your life forever
the issue with growing up in the 2000s and 2010s was like there was this really big push toward "accepting your weirdness" overall but they meant like idk wearing mismatched socks or something not being tangibly beyond the norm in any way shape or form

to be clear exit 8 was fair to middling but i thoroughly enjoyed myself
Exit 8 (2025) dir. Genki Kawamura
strange days (kathryn bigelow, 1995) is shockingly prophetic and thus remains extraordinarily timely watching not only is it a spectacular project from bigelow (who i would argue is really peerless when it comes to shooting action sequences) who pulls no punches when it comes of her interrogation of surveillance the police state voyeurism etc. etc. she also had the good sense to cast two of the hottest actors ever as her leads and have them making out amidst cyberpunk filth and chaos over a true soundtrack of all time this really was a film meant to appeal directly to me but regardless thank you ms. bigelow for my life

i think christopher eccleston would make an excellent galileo in brecht's life of galileo
entirely unsurprised that christopher eccelston’s discussion of disordered eating in his memoir is probably the best and most considerate i’ve seen in regard to talking about deeply traumatic and personal material without being sensationalistic or creating harm
i've been listening to the audiobook which he himself read and i still can't fully wrap my brain around how much it must have taken to be that vulnerable in his memoir; (while i definitely suggest looking up content warnings) i really recommend i love the bones of you i think it's an excellent autobiography and tribute to his dad and it's really something to listen to him tell these stories

When i was 13 i decided to become penpals with the surviving members of the heavens gate cult who were still maintaining their email/website/book sales and they responded to me a couple of times before my mom found out and i genuinely couldnt fathom why she would be upset with me
