It’s the time of the year where we look back to the things we’ve done and accomplished for the last 12 months.
I’m going to try to remember and summarize the most memorable events and accomplishments I had for 2015.
1. My year started off with Bastille kicking the Manila stage. THEY WERE AMAZING! I couldn’t ask for more! ♥
2. Pulp Summer Slam with my concert buddies as a yearly tradition. Finally saw TWA and ETF alivee! Reminiscing the good ol’ high school days.
3. Oriental Mindoro Trip with VIDES PH family. My first time volunteering in Tree Planting. And spending the Mother’s Day with my whole family and other families.
4. Road trip with Elly (and her sister and her friends) at Antipolo and visited Pinto Art Museum for the first time.
5. Hang out with my Korean friend for the first time in forever. Haven’t seen her for like yeaaarss.
6. TypeLab MNL with Pia. First time to attend to a Typography/ Lettering Talk. It was fun seeing the people I just used to follow in Instagram in person. It was definitely one of the most inspiring talks I’ve been to.
7. Big Bang Concert!!!! Finally saw the boys after 8/9 years of waiting. It was totally WORTH IT.
8. Resigned from my first ever job! It was the hardest decision ever but I’m glad and thankful for all the memories, both good and bad; to the experiences I had that pushed me to become a better person; and to the people I’ve met that became my close friends.
9. Attended my first ever Lettering Workshop c/o Ella Lama. She’s an amazing person; very approachable and humble.
10. Opened my online shop, finally!
11. Had a short stint in English tutoring. Had to tutor my Korean friend’s younger brothers for a week. It was actually challenging but I had a lot of fun.
12. Second job! Yaaay! Got to experience a lot of firsts. Had my first lettering in a magazine; worked in a magazine; covered bicycle events; met a lot of new people.
13. Click Play Fest! Seeing Ryan Higa and Crew, Ki Hong Lee, and David Choi was surreal. My 4th concert/ festival for this year. This is by far the most concert/ festival I’ve been to in a year! More for 2016, please?
14. Got stranded in the road and had no choice but to book a hotel in the middle of the night because I am soaking wet due to the non-stop rain. It was definitely one of the most spontaneous thing I’ve done solo.
15. Volunteered for DCCI and meet a lot of kind and humble people. :)
16. FINISHED my first every 100 Days Challenge! I did #100DaysofLettering for 100 Days and maaan, I can’t believe I survived that.
I have to be thankful to Google Calendar for the help. Hahaha! I haven’t been blogging like I used to 2/3 years ago and because of that, I don’t have any reference to the things I’ve done for the past months. Thankful for Google Calendar that became my reliable “secretary”. Thank you Google for creating Google Calendar.
Anyway, I think that’s it! Thank you 2015, for the awesome year.
Here’s to the people I’ve met and became friends/close friends with.
To the “firsts” and other experiences I experienced.
To the concerts/ musical festivals I’ve attended.
To becoming the better version of myself.
I’m Korhz and I’m signing off. Good bye, 2015. Hello, 2016.
