I miss the way you make me feel, it’s real We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill Damn, Ed! ♥ You are such a perfection.
I’m 7 days late for my yearly recap but whatever! I’m going to try and list down things I did for the last 12 months.
1. 3rd job! Resigning from my 2 previous job has been a bittersweet moment for me and I was actually more scared with this new venture but I’m glad it worked. I’m now celebrating my 1st year at work! Yay!
2. Traveled with my former co-workers (bb girls) to Baguio! Spent 3 days and 2 nights at the City of Pines! It’s been a surreal experience to be honest. First time to travel out of the town with friends!
3. Blessthefall concert again! Can’t be more happier. I missed them and I’m glad they went back here. The crowd was small compared to the last time they were here but I felt they still have fun despite it.
4. Fete de la Musique! Finally after years and years of wanting to attend this music fest, 2016 has been the lucky year! :) It’s also my brother’s first time attending such music fest so I’m happy to share this moment with him. This year again, hopefully.
5. As I don’t really celebrate my birthday except for family dinner, 2016 was my first ever birthday celeb with my workmates! Thanks, guys!
6. Pollilo Island with my twin and new other friends. This one was a very spontaneous trip but I’m glad my anxiety didn’t kicked in or I would have missed the opportunity to see such beautiful place with my twin.
7. Common Ground BGC Music Fest! 2nd local music fest I’ve attended with my brother again. Discovered more local indie bands.
8. Had a minor operation in my right axilla because of an abscess but all is well. But it was sure well of a pain! I embarrassingly cried while my doctor slit my armpit to take away the abscess. What can I do, I have low pain tolerance.
I think that’s it for 2016! I’m just glad I was able to travel last year! Hopefully more travel this year! (I need moolah hahaha). I can’t stress enough how blessed I am to be able to meet new friends and bonded more with old friends.
2016 has been dubbed as the worst year ever and it didn’t help that Mariah Carey’s new year’s eve perf was a disaster. But whatever happened in 2016, let’s be thankful for whatever blessings we received. A blessing is a blessing no matter how small or big it is.
Here’s to a happier, fruitful, and healthy 2017!
The hype is real! Finished binge watching this series with my dad and oh my glob! I love every bit of this show and I honestly can’t wait for the next season.
My workmate found this geometric shape bundle online for about $29. It looks dope and cool. And then she asked me if I can do stuff like that. I hesitated for awhile before answering, “yes, pwede naman”. When people asked me if I can do bunch of design related things, I always hesitate for a minute or two before realizing that of course I can do it or try to do it (unless related to portraits and 2D/3DANIM- I sucked at it big big time). Up until now, I still struggle finding confidence in my work/skills. I hope that I find (a good amount) of confidence (too much of it will kill me naman) with myself as I keep going and doing what I love.
This is an attempt to resurrect my forgotten art blog. The thing with designing stuff for clients and brands is that you kinda slowly forget how to create art for yourself, art for the sake of art, well at least that`s the case for me. Because when you work for clients you always have to think about what your clients and target market will think, how will they react, and whether it will sell or not. You also have to abide to the brand guidelines. So before I truly forgot how to “art”, here`s rusty lettering to kickstart this little project.

Here’s a quick art greetings to all the beautiful ladies out there. Happy International Women’s Day, beautiful! ;)
Good morning, beautiful and awesome people! :)
Hello Beautiful! ;)
A few days ago, I received a mail (postcard) from a close friend via snail mail. It was my first time to receive a mail/postcard from someone since the beginning of digital age (bills and online orders don’t count! haha). Anyway, the quote at the back is very, very timely. The quote is this:
“Stop telling yourself that the grass is greener on the other side, because it’s not. It is greener where you water it. So take control of your life and start watering your own pastures and grown your own greener grasses.” - Unknown
And it hits me. It’s true. And because of this, I am “a little” (hey, one step at a time ;)) motivated to water the grass on my own field. As a reminder, I decided to make a lettering of it but just got the main idea because it’s too long. :) Sharing it to you my virtual friends in hopes that this quote will also inspire you to water your own grass.
Happy Mondays!
I have way too many feels, way too many emotions.
“After all this time?”
“Always”
Good bye, Professor!
I make it a yearly habit to read at least 1 book per month to keep up with my “to-read” list. I am just glad that I have accomplished it last year! Yaaay! You see, it is kinda hard to keep up with reading because of all the other things going on (aka work, lettering, freelance gigs, hang out with friends/ family, tv series and movie marathon-ing, etc. etc.). But really, truth to be told, I just suck at time management. Uhh.
Any book recommendations for 2016?
#BeMore2016
Every year, I try to come up with personal mantra that I live by. Last year was all about striving for improvement instead of perfection. This year, I decided to make it more than just improvement. I will “try” and hopefully exceed all the things that I’ve done last year. Also, I would like to do more stuff that I haven’t try yet.
2016 is all about doing something bigger and better. About creating with purpose and passion. Come and join me with this battle! Let’s make 2016 more meaningful.
