So here are the rules of this omnitrix

Firstly it's kind of a recalibrated version of the OV omnitrix hence the similar touch dial.

When Ben added in the Matrix Core it completely changed appearance to encompass all it's new features.

With this it includes every single alien transformation that he has unlocked up until this point albiet the matrix core mutated versions.

The mistransformation glitch is gone..any mistransformation ben has comes from him just not paying attention to the alien he selected and a psuedo master control which allows him to switch from alien to alien with ease and a quick cooldown time.

The drawbacks are since The mutated transformations use wayyy more power than the regular omnitrix forms he runs the risk of draining the "battery". And since the core was never perfected staying transformed for too long as well as switching through aliens too frequently puts a huge physical strain on ben himself.

Now as for how the mutated forms themselves work..think of the ultimate aliens crossed with the anti trix aliens from the reboot.

So the Matrix core basically super evolves whatever species Bens selected to their natural evolutionary peak...so for example if Ben had a saiyan transformation it would evolve to a super saiyan 4 since as far as we know that is the peak of NATURAL saiyan evolution.(yes ik the god forms are stronger and i actually like them wayy more than 4 but those technically can't be achieved naturally by any saiyan)

If it was a human form it would either make them a meta human or activate the x gene.

So yeah the forms have to make some sense from an evolutionary standpoint to Ult Humungousaurs hand missles,Ult big chills Fire ice and Ult Wildmutts speaking don't count.

So after the alien is evolved they remain that way as long as the matrix core is part of the omnitrix..no turning it off and on like the ultimates. So like how the anti trix aliens are constantly mutated.

Also Ben gives his mutated forms new names just to differentiate them.

Myaxx

The first assistant to first thinker Azmuth.

Myaxx was on Galvan when Vilgaxs conquering of earth happened.

Realizing that Vilgax would soon make his way to Galvan in search of a new conquest as well as a new omnitrix she(without azmuth knowing and against his wishes) sent Ben schematics for Azmuths latest invention The matrix core believing that if Ben could successfully integrate it into his omnitrix he'd have enough power to defeat vilgax once and for all and prevent any further destruction from happening. While Vilgax and Myaxx are the same race she has never approved of his quest for intergalactic conquest and she would do anything to see him brought down permanently.

Rook Blonko

Age:28

Also known as Magister Rook Blonko

Rook was promoted to the Rank of magister shortly after Grandpa Max's disappearance in his battle against Vilgax.

Having always been a stickler for the rules Rook takes his job very seriously even more so after the apparent death of his friend and partner Ben tennyson.

While Gwen is the leader of the Resistance Rook is the one who comes up with strategies and attack plans.

They are partners in this Endeavor and while Kevin turned down being Gwens 2nd in command Rook gladly took the position.

His vast knowledge of Plumber weaponry and tactics prove to be a valuable asset to the team.

He knows that after conquering earth Vilgax could possibly set his sights on his own home world and he'd do anything to prevent that from happening.

Though he was wounded from his last battle with Vilgax the battle scars remain a constant reminder of what he's fighting for.

Azmuth

First thinker Azmuth the smartest mind in 5 galaxies

Creator of the omnitrix, ultimatrix and the sword ascalon.

In his many years alive he himself has seen many acts of carnage and evil.

However thanks to his greatest creation the omnitrix and it's weilder ben tennyson the evil in the universe has considerably dwindled in recent years a feat that Azmuth himself is impressed by.

But not this time

With Vilgaxs sudden takeover and Bens inability to beat him Azmuth knew that just the omnitrix would not always be enough to save the universe.

Knowing that Vilgax would set his sights on him after taking over earth he and myaxx spent the past 3 years hidden away secretly working to create the Matrix core a device powerful enough to take down vilgax. However against his wishes his assistant Myaxx sent the schematics to Ben before they were ready the device was still a year away from being perfected.

And Ben used it in it's current state it would almost certainly lead to his eventual death.

Luna Diaz

Age:24

Ben's new partner and former plumber in training Ben meets Luna on his way back to Bellwood after finally coming out in hiding.

Luna was all set to become a Plumber until vilgax invaded

Ever since then she's been doing everything she can to prevent Vilgaxs forces from invading her town and to keep it's people safe.

Luna much like Kevin is an Osmosian(Human Mutant) her special is being able Molecular acceleration like Gambit from X-men she has the ability to convert the potential energy in any object and turn it into kinetic energy charging them and causing them to explode on impact.

Upon finding out that Ben isn't dead she decides to join him with hopes that she'll be able to help put an end to all this and along the way she and Ben may become something closer than just friends.

She isn't all that impressed with Bens heroics.

And while she understands the fame she doesn't let that prevent her from calling him iut when he's being dumb or irrational.

They do bicker and argue on occasion and ben probably won't admit it..but he's eventually grateful that even though kevin ,gwen and rook aren't able to help him at the moment he's got someone like her at his side

This is my first and most likely only OC to be included in this fanfic.

Kenny doesn't exist yet in this AU but if he did she'd most likely be his mother.

And no Ben does Not fuck this one up,he's learned.

So I've been thinking

And honestly if they were to reboot ben10 again(which i believe they will) I'd like them to change the formula up just a smidge.

Keep the roadtrip concept

Keep Ben getting the omnitrix and Gwen getting magic

But

Just make some changes here and there, pull some aspects from the reboot, pull some aspecfs from the ov continuity

Make them around 14/15

And give Ben a sibling who is a year or 2 younger than him lets assume this sibling is a boy named Tristen.

So you have Max taking his 3 youngest grandkids on a roadtrip Ben(15) , Gwen(15), Tristen(13) on a cross country roadtrip. Since they're teenagers they're not particularly excited about spending their whole summer crammed in an RV with their granddad.

Ben finds the omnitrix

Gwen eventually learns magic

Now as for Tristen

After defeating vilgax for the first time and finding out about Max's past with the plumbers or "alien force" Max takes the kids to decomissioned plumbers base where he finds G.L.I T.C H. Galvanic Link Interface for Tactical Combat Hardware this experimental mechamorph AI that the plumbers were working on(for max specifically) the forever knights try to take it the gang stops them and the mechamorph AI bond's with Tristen.

It allows him to create weapons(practically like generator rex) blasters, rocket packs etc.

However he only has access to the default 10 contructs that they give him.(see what i did there)

I feel like something like this could really spice up the dynamic and make things feel fresh while not stealing the spotlight away from ben

So I've been thinking of this ultimate Ben rework idea where instead of just not transforming all the time he gets partital transformations depending on which alien he's using at the time.

What parts of his body that transforms will be completely dependent on the alien and for some aliens he simply just won't transform at all.

DiamondHead-he grows Diamond shards on his back and his arms turn into Diamond.

Ripjaws-he gains gills,sharper teeth,the lure,and fins to help him swim.

BigChill-he gains his wings/cloak

SpiderMonkey-he gets the tail

Goop-he can switch between being solid and melting down as goop(when he switches his body turns green)

Upchuck-he gains his tongues

Snare-Oh-he can morph his body into bandages when needed

Sinkfly-gains his wings

Aliens like Jetray,FastTrack,Juryrigg,clockwork, crashhopper on the other hand won't have any changes.

Still figuring out how Canonbolt would work tho.
