#Ben18 and #Ben34
K, I'm gonna make a pretty important post.
The nsfw side of the Ben 10 fandom has been toxic since the show's conception. This is almost wholly because of lack of boundaries, specifically in a lack of attempt to make sure minors don't find these kinds of works.
I was a Ben 10 fan since I was a child, and I was exposed to SO much pornography when I was young—pieces mostly featuring underage characters. This is not an okay thing to allow children to come across unfettered. It's dangerous and damaging; I know from personal experience.
So what can we do? Do we just stop altogether? Shake our fists and blame neglectful parents?
Imo, no, we just do what other fandoms have done since then—make a new tag. Since no one else seems to have done it, I've talked with some friends and they've suggested #Ben18, and/or #Ben34. Of course, if other people want to offer an alternative, they can suggest things too.
I'm tagging this as Ben 10 because I want this to spread around the fandom, and because this post contains no actual nsfw.
It's really important to me that we create a safe environment and protect minors. Ben 10 r34 content shouldn't have to be relegated to being entirely toxic forever and dangerous forever. I want to create at least one safe pocket.
Remember, if using these tags, do not tag your post as #Ben 10. That negates the whole point of the alternate tag.
