My personal/perfect Ben 10 reboot
-the design aesthetic would be a midway between UAF and OV, and the overall tone would be mostly like OV but with the comedy dialed back a bit. I imagine it has at least about 5-6 strong seasons in it.
-So ben would be 16 at present when he gets the omnitrix; I found him being a teen makes him more relatable and better at rational thinking but by the time prime ben was this age, the years of having the omnitrix had made him arrogant and obnoxious so I split the difference. This version would be a lot more grounded and sensible; he’s heavily based on “no watch ben”, including the short time we saw him with an omnitrix. He’d like being a hero but be a bit more self-conscious about it too. His starting 10 aliens are diamondhead, swampfire, upgrade, eatle, ghostfreak, snare-oh, pesky dust, overflow, astrodactyl, XLR8.
-gwen(17) would be how she appeared in opening of OV/no watch timeline and mostly keep same characterization as prime timeline; intelligent, snarky and the head to bens heart, with them starting out a bit more distant but growing closer over time to almost like siblings. Would not be anodite but would begin to master magic in a similar way. There would also be a very layered and complex dynamic/relationship between her and charmcaster.
-kevin’s look and personality would be mostly what we saw in UAF/OV though his relationship to ben would be based more on the reboot; a bully type that has given ben a rough time over the years, though getting involved in bens adventures forms a stronger bond. He still has his absorption powers, with having to hide them being what has resulted in him feeling like an outsider. He would also still have connections to alien criminals, like argit and vulkanus. We would also see a much darker, more murderous alternate reality version of him causing trouble. He also later adopts zed after it is freed from vilgax’s control.
-ester, with her personality and background identical to OV, would be bens main love interest, though not introduced right off and certainly not interested from their first meeting. Glimpses of the future would show her and ben married and have twin children.
-julie would be a classmate and brief crush for ben, but they are mostly frenemies, often competing in sports or anything else. She would actually later date cooper.
-max; much like before, he’s the wise mentor and father figure to ben, gwen and later kevin, who knows much more than he at first lets on regarding aliens. He’s just trying to help ben mature and make the best possible decisions with the omnitrix. He is technically retired but is the senior plumber authority on earth.
-Rook would be introduced late in the series as a jr plumber mentoring under max and striking up a close friendship with ben. His personality would mostly be the same though his skills are still developing.
-bens parents would be a bit more central/relevant, while other relatives, like lucy, sunny and ken, would also have bigger parts. Verdona, who’s not an alien but like max is aware of them, would also get some more focus; she’d be a scientist whose obsession with energy drove a wedge between her and max, making them separate, and her research would give her a transformation like her anodite form.
-tetrax would have a similar intro as OC, being a bounty hunter sent after ben before allying with him. He would have an expanded role of being trainer to ben for a bit in fighting better with his aliens before leaving and working on actively thwarting vilgax’s power. He would form a guardians of the galaxy type team consisting of myaxx(still azmuth’s disgruntled former assistant), gluto, sevenseven, retaliator(whose just a heavily armored galvanic mechamorph), and the Piscciss Volanns prisoner(based on his reboot version) and would be an on call support for both azmuth and ben. In the future, tetrax will have become the Magistratus of the plumbers galaxy-wide.
-Vilgax would mostly be equivalent to his classic timeline incarnation in personality and role, though more active; his design would be a hybrid of traits from his three classic cartoon designs. He would already be bulkyish by nature but not as much as after his explosion. A debacle with time travel would actually have him as the genesis of inspiring azmuth to create the omnitrix. There would also be a point where like the reboot, he sets about creating the nemitrix; the creation and deployment of the waybads would be one of his more ruthless schemes. The accident that warranted his enhancements would actually be a suicide attack from xylene crashing her ship into his bridge after jettisoning the omnitrix to earth. Psyphon and Dr. Psychobos are his primary subordinates.
-primary earth based threats would be dr animo, charmcaster, rojo’s gang, zombozo, eon(bad ben would be his younger self), Captain Nemesis, Elena Validus, fistrick.
-The forever knights would be a slow burning threat, building in strength and danger over the course of the series until becoming one of the major threats near the end as they unleash a full on war against aliens on earth that ben has to stop. the command structure would be enoch, who's more akin to a general/second in command but at first appears as if he is the leader, three knights(red, black, green) who serve as enforcers, and the forever king. the king would eventually be revealed as a hyper evolved AI, now with a biomechnical body, who was created by the early plumbers but as the plumbers evolved to be concerned about aliens well beings, he concluded going to the extreme of their original intent of hating aliens.
-alien threats would be sixsix, vulkanus, kraab, P'andor, malware, khyber, albedo(not as prominent as in prime timeline), the highbreed supreme, the Incursean empire(constantly in a power struggle between attea and Milleous).
-malware would formerly be the attendant of albedo(some mechamorphs are granted the honor of being partnered with highly honored galvans)and went rogue with him but as albedo continues to fail, malware realizes how more deserving, clever and ambitious he is and abandons albedo for his own plans.
-overarching villains would be vilgax(obviously), maltruent(who would eventually create a team of bens greatest enemies, even future ones), malware, Zs'Skayr , Servantis(max’s former partner).
-darkstar(charmcaster’s son), Fulmini High Override, billy billions and mutated servantis would be future villains of ben recruited through time by maltruent as members of the negative 10. Members from the present would be Zs skayr, animo, attea, rojo and ultimate albedo.
-exo-skull & Subdora are a time travelling bonnie and clyde duo.
-The Aggregor of this timeline would be kevin’s insane uncle, with similar abilities, who takes on a mutated look similar to OC mutant kevin. His goal is to absorb enough consistent energy to become a god and conquer the universe. Fighting against him would complete kevins arc of turning to good and officially joining the tennysons.
-events almost identical to those of “secret of the omnitrix” would take place in this series, introducing azmuth into bens life, all resulting in azmuth’s return to public life and knowledge of ben to openly circulate the galactic community.
-Eunice would be an artificial being created from the matrix of the omnitrix and Ben’s DNA and would be a part of the Tennyson family for a short time before becoming azmuth’s, who she considers a father figure, new assistant; she’d be viewed as a sibling figure to ben. In the future, Glitch would be like a son to her, having been created from a newborn mechamorph merging with her/ben’s dna.
-professor paradox would be met part way through the series but hints and easter eggs of his checking in on ben the whole time would be glimpsed. He’d mostly be based on his OV look and personality; he would be the nemesis of maltruent. There would absolutely be an adventure where he takes the tennysons back to the dinosaurs where aliens are involved.
-undertown would be discovered to have existed for some time under Bellwood by ben, though max and kevin would have already known about it. It would become bens main resource for tips and info on alien activity and interaction. The Vreedles would be an ever-present gang trying to maintain control over it.
-the plumbers would start out at a weakened state, having difficulty keeping order amongst humans and secret aliens but by the end of the series would have more power, personnel and authoritative range. Members would include Patelliday, Joel Tennyson, Scout, Molly Gunther, Cooper, Elliot, driba, blukic, Phil Billings, swift, tack, wes greene, kai greene, fistina, hobble, helan wheels, manny Armstrong, Pierce Wheels, alan Albright.
-Bill gacks and his partner, ship, are the aloof custodians of the plumbers base on earth. Due to his resemblance to vilgax, a running joke would be others double taking or awkwardly staring whenever they see him.
-other notable aliens would be argit, a thief and conman and kevins former best friend and the most active alien outside of undertown; Baz-L, a greedy and snooty mechamorph who travels to and from earth a lot and sells goods of questionable legality in his undertown stall and always manages to find and annoy the tennysons. Looma redwind, the stubborn and aggressive ruler of Khoros and the tetramands; after a failed invasion attempt on earth, manipulated by maltruent, she sees ben as a worthy advisory and possible husband, if she can defeat him in battle. Cleopatra, a posh and spoiled Thep Khufan who has long resided on earth and constantly swaps between amiable and antagonistic (she is an update on the mummy from the OC). Bubblehelmet, a consistently encountered alien criminal.
-in the future, ben and company are the leaders of the earth plumbers; part of their team is ben/ester’s twin son and daughter, ken & jen, who both have their own omnitrix; gwen/kevin’s son Devlin, as well as dr animo’s cloned daughter.
-present villains still active in the future are vilgax, cyborg animo, serventis, eon and the forever queen.
