If like Thor you found yourself in need of a pet store animal large enough to ride, what kind of battle beast would you pick? I would pick a parrot because I could train it to repeat my commands so that all on the field of battle could follow my guidance and also because giant bird shit is a weapon to be feared!
Who’s your favorite superhero and why? Probably Storm from X-men and this is because she is wise and beautiful and her powers are to be feared and because great black women have been goddesses to me since birth.
What show(s) will you happily watch a 10-hour marathon of? Oh god... there are too many shows I love. But I would say Queer as Folk, Avatar: the last airbender and Suits. I could watch just those shows for days and be JOVIAL.
If you could do anything at all with the rest of your life, what would you do? Assume you’d always have enough money to live comfortably and do whatever you’re doing (traveling, sampling all the world’s best hot dogs, whatever), and you’d have access to whatever resources you need (a boat, a plane, a university to learn rocket science). This is such a great question. I would want to play with/teach people about animals, which I feel like I'm actually on my way to doing :D I think I'll need a university for a teaching/biology degree and then I'm golden. If I were to give a different answer than this it would probably be giving massage therapy to attractive, single, not-straight men all day.
If you could become instantly super proficient at any one thing (like having kung fu downloaded into your brain), what would it be? Oh I LOVE this one! I've asked something like this on one of these posts before. I would say... OOOOH GYMNASTICS. I have always been mesmerized by those kinds of skills and I WANT THEM.
If you could have any kind of animal as a pet, what would you want to have? Assume it would be perfectly safe to have, not negatively impacted in any way by being domesticated, you’d be able to provide whatever kind of environment/enrichment it needed, and nobody would arrest you for having it. Omg I asked this exact question on interviews with my fraternity brothers. It's so good! I would want either a wolf or a bengal tiger (Life of Pi y'all!)
Got any awesome plans for the weekend? Actually no, not yet! But I'm trying to plan a friend date with reccashay soon and there's a dude I've been talking to on tinder and that might go somewhere at some point in the future >.> Although plans I have for SURE next weekend is that I got a ticket to The Read LIVE! The Read is my all time favorite podcast and it is a highlight of my week and gives my spirit joy and I think you and everyone on this good green earth should enjoy it with me. And this weekend that just ended benalane came to visit and we had a grand adventure dancing in da club!
What’s your favorite season? Summer! Always has been, always will be.
Where’s your favorite place to go where you currently live? I really like to go to this little shop called The Thinking Cup that's across the street from Boston Common. They have delicious pastries and really good hot chocolate and it's just a super cozy place to relax. The common itself is a really nice park but I'm not the biggest fan because I think it curses my chances with any boy I meet in or around it.
Where would you like to go if you could travel anywhere in the world? One night I was having one of those deep philosophical talks with two friends of mine from work and they've both lived abroad in environments that opened their eyes to living conditions in the rest of the world. As much as I would love a relaxing vacation somewhere extravagant, I think I want the kind of experience they've had under my belt. Somewhere isolated... somewhere that involves at least a little bit of risk to stay.
What do you find most difficult to deal with? My lacking assertiveness. Even when I try to be I can practically feel my voice thinning halfway through. It's nice to have people like you but having people respect you will always be better. They are not the same. I've moved in the right direction on that this year but I'm not where I wanna be yet.
