Inspiration - Assessment 3

World Press Photos 2017

I spent some time yesterday visiting the World Press 2017 exhibition in Sydney. The photos depicted reality, sometimes quite confronting. This photo story, however, appealed to me. I love photos take against the night sky (hopefully one day I will master astrophotography). I have just visited Dubbo zoo and appreciated the majesty of these wild animals. To me this series is amazing. Love the ghostly effects. It won 3rd prize in the Nature section. They were taken by Bence Máté who is a young wildlife photographer from Hungary who has won many prizes.

According to his Facebook page “Among the images depicting blood, distress and sorrow, with my 10 photos, I managed to slip some beauty into the material of the International World Press Photo Contest.“ That is how I saw them so I feel that he has achieved his goal.
