Ben is a Japanese-American member of the B.P.R.D. who has the unique ability to turn into a giant jaguar. When they were first casting the part for the 2019 Hellboy movie they originally cast Ed Skrein, a white, English actor. Thankfully Ed thought better of it and dropped out to allow someone of Asian heritage to portray the role. BenDaimioxAliceMonaghan. I personally like this couple so much that I digged down wiki and blogs to find moments between them and turn out they just have hints on movies. Love Hellboy 2019 so much!!! If you haven't watched it yet, besides a sexy strong badass half-demon you have this cute couple as a reason.

Back from watching #Hellboy, and well, that happened. The not so stellar reviews you may or may not have read, are, after walking out the cinema, unfortunately true. To me, it just comes across as a very disjointed, mess of a movie that jumps from scene to scene with the very thinnest of narrative linking them together, almost as if it was just showcasing set pieces from the comic it's based on rather than forwarding the plot. It's a shame, as I was hoping for something good. It was funny in parts, with the banter between Hellboy and his father (#IanMcShane in Wednesday from American Gods mode here) and #BenDaimio and Alice working for the most part but it also tried so hard to play it straight it kind at times with the humour falling a bit flat. Right from the off it's a much more gory and bloodier affair than the previous movies as well, and almost gets a bit Lovecraftian with some of the demonic creature designs. So if you don't mind a bit of blood and guts splattering the screen, you'll probably like it. I did, however, like some of the fantastical and folklorish elements of the film, some of the action set pieces and, for all the moments of him on screen, I liked #LobsterJohnson too. Kicking Nazi ass! But it's a sadly disappointing movie that could've been so much more. I love @dkharbour of course he isn’t @perlmutations but he was still a good Hellboy. I like the story, the visual affects were good as well. I do have complaints, there were parts of the movie that seemed silly? Is that the word I would use? I don’t know how to describe it properly. I know the old hellboys had comedy but some of moments in this movie seemed silly. Only word I can think. Next thing I didn’t like, the accents. Bens and Alice accents weren’t great. First, neither character were English and second, neither was actors. Not saying they didn’t play their characters well but I’ve one complaint, Ben Daimio...people had a huge uproar over the original actor and I get that in comics, it wasn’t a white English guy but there wasn’t one complaint in mainstream media that Alice’s character wasn’t mix raced English woman. But I liked the characters, I like how they were portrayed and @sashablane accent was definitely better than @danieldaekim one. I hope there is a second as they showed right at the end them finding Abe and I would love to see him again as he was like my favourite character from the previous hellboys. I haven’t heard much about this Hellboy, it’s a big movie and it’s Hellboy but I liked it.
