bendergate is a grim fucking omen for animation’s future and the entertainment slog factory as a whole but if we keep bitching there could be even the slightest chance of the cast getting the raise they deserve. if they do itll literally only be to shut everyone up and keep anyone from even thinking about a voice acting union, but its better than letting this fall into oblivion and let disney’s rampant disrespect for everyone making and enjoying the ips theyve bought and destroyed continue without a fight. as someone who wants to be an animator it breaks my heart to see the things that inspired me as a grew up be bought and sold and dismembered and spat on and the consumers being less than a consideration. the malice the disney/fox/hulu conglomerate has towards literally everyone in their audience and adjacent is fucking cartoonishly cruel. truly consumers in general never had a fucking say in the market, demand is goddamn fake, and the inch we didnt give was taken as not just a mile, but the entire length between the earth and the fucking sun. i sure as hell wont be watching or even pirating this reboot if john dimaggio doesnt come back, in respect for not only him but the rest of the cast, his coworkers for actual decades, who deserve exactly everything he’s said they have and then some.
