His steps were cautious, almost too careful. With the brown furred ferret sitting just as quietly as he was atop his shoulder, he walked his way through the narrow plank of wood that hung high, serving as a skeleton to the palace of Alfitaria kingdom. It wasn't as the usual-- the Lilty guards were up and about, making it about thrice as hard for Himchan to be hopping into the portal of his preference, the one that led to Seoul.
Milo was induced with jitteriness from the sight of the paunchy and heavily armored men. Himchan sensed this, therefore instinctively reaching to pet its head in a soothing manner, while letting a hush hiss pass through his teeth that were grit, from anxiety as well. He bent down for a better balance, as he moved forth, now passing over the gates that guarded the portals. "Just a little more..." He thought to himself, now sitting himself on the long and thick timber. He looked down, eyes in search for that one that gave off the brightest of glows, which was his indication that it would in fact bring him to where he wanted.
It took Himchan a few moments to come up with a plan on how to avert the guard's attention away from the portals. His orbs scanned around the vicinity. He spotted an decorative amphora sitting by the corner of the room. With a steady aim, he raised his arm and let his palm face that very vase, slowly lifting it off the ground, and tossing it to the side. Ultimately, this garnered the notice and potent gaze of the palace sentinel, their lances raised.
Himchan took this opportunity, pushing himself off of the elevated platform. He landed on the rock-based ground with a firm stand, not taking any hesitations and instantly heading for the portal he insisted on. Yet, when the rodent on his shoulder hopped off by mistake, and was sucked in a portal of a different dimension, he had no choice but to attempt to reach for Milo, but this only resulted in him being pulled in as well.
"... Ah!" His yelp was a tad late, and by that time, he had already landed onto the grassy terrain of the next land. He instantly sat up, knowing this was not where he wished to be, and grimaced. His eyes landed on his pest of a pet, now running towards a female being. "Milo, no!" He attempted to stop him, but it was too late. By then, the ferret has already leapt and coiled around the ankle of the other-- a supposed sign of affection. Himchan buried his face into his hands, sighing of exasperation. "Oh man."
