6 foot wall clock installed in Houston with 1/4 inch metal gears. The clock hands had to be carefully placed and the motor comes through from the other side so precision was needed for those to meet and make it work. To protect the face a 1/2 inch sheet of plexi stands off the wall. Total weight about 200 pounds. 12 hour install. Artist: Chris Judy. #wallclock #designed #clockart #design #houston #clock #bendhausdesign

Bendhaus Design: This logo has been an experiment of mine for the last couple of weeks. I use a stylus to draw with my ArtFlow app on my Galaxy S6. The concept behind Bendhaus is influenced by Bauhaus and it’s founding idea of a “total” work of art in which all arts would be brought together. “Bend” derives from a space we created at a house on a street called Big Bend Dr. This house became a space for artistic and musical experimentation and freedom. It created this gravitational pull for the creative types. There was collaboration, artistic risks, support for one another, and learning. The space no longer exists but the energy still flows and now it’s in the cloud, planted in an even larger pot and environment to see how it grows. There is the idea that a positive energy can spread, as well as collaboration. As far as what it becomes or what it is now is still up in the air, maybe it will become it’s own entity. Maybe it will bear fruit and like all living things eventually it will pass it’s energy on and something greater will sprout out of the ashes. In the logo the letters are attempting to convey the idea of support of your fellow artist, your fellow human. See the website and drop a comment or text!
