TODAY IN HISTORY: An engineer demonstrates a prototype moon buggy at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, June 7, 1966: “This unit, weighing 1/6th as much as an actual vehicle, was built by the Bendix Corporation and was one of the concepts of a possible Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV). The data provided by the MTA helped in designing the LRV, developed under the direction of MSFC.”
