How the heck does the flow dimension work??
Here’s your answer:
So basically how the flow dimension works is a surface of ink large enough to fit the traveler through. It’s an ability that only certain ink beings can manipulate. Examples are Sammy Lawrence, the Ink Demon and Ink Bendy, a certain number of lost ones, searchers, the ink wardens, Whizbang, and even Sketch, who doesn’t use it very often due to the fear of the dark inky void. That brings us to the next question: Where do you go after entering an ink “portal”? The answer to that question isn’t all that simple; although the Flow Dimension has a name, it doesn’t really qualify as a dimension itself. It’s more like a pocket dimension, like how the endermen use the End dimension to teleport. Once you enter the ink portal, you are immediately transported to the Flow Dimension. It is a dark, empty void that seems to go on forever; around you are white spots of all shapes and sizes, some being large enough to fit through, some being smaller than your hand. They are the ink portals, and if your ember the shape, size, and positioning of them correctly, then you may be able to manipulate the flow ability. But they can disappear if the ink dries or is absorbed by a spongey surface such as a towel, paper, dry wood, etc. If the ink is watered down by another liquid, the ink portal will disappear in that occurrence as well. But if you traverse through a portal properly, then you will be transported to the place where that surface of ink is located. It is possible to become trapped in the Flow Dimension, but it is very unlikely, as the only way for that to occur is if you are in the Flow Dimension and all of the portals big enough for you to fit through disappear.
