Most people would have been reluctant to get out and explore a place they have no memory of coming to. It’s only natural to be scared! However, Alice was not like most people and she was more than happy to forget the depressing animated world she hailed from to start clean here. Her new gig had only sweetened the deal, and now she finds herself nearing the end of her first show at a lounge in the city center.
Alice thinks, maybe she can work with this. It doesn’t beat dancing on the silver screen, sure, but it’s a spotlight, a hoard of attention, and that demon isn’t here to ruin ---
When the house lights come on, she spots a familiar horned head tucked away at the end of the bar, not seeming to give her the time of day. The appearance both baffles and enrages Alice, but she’s gotta deal with this smoothly.
Immediately, she makes her way from the stage to the bar, not waiting for him to turn around. Hell, she doesn’t even know if he knows she’s here, but that won’t stop her from feeling the initial pang of envy at the sight of the darling devil. It takes nearly all of Alice’s willpower from chewing Bendy out on sight, something that wouldn’t do well for her image at the new workplace.
So she settles for niceties instead.
“What are you doing here.” Okay, well. That didn’t come off as nice as she would’ve liked, but it was a step above what she really wanted to do and that’s all anyone can ask for right now. “Looking for a prime opportunity to jump up and take the spotlight, right? I’m surprised you waited.”
She hovers behind him, arms crossed over her chest in waiting for an explanation despite her accusations. Of all the places in the city that Bendy could’ve gotten smashed at, it had to be hers on her first night. Just great. Wonderful.
