[blushing meme] "Four words: Hands on neck... Repeatedly."
Yep. There's the blushing. Luckily it's hard to notice. "I have no idea what you're talking about, my good sir."
[Numbers thing] "9."
"... really? I'm not... that bad, am I?"
[Misery spreading in one sentence meme - set same as your thingy last night] "I can't forget what you did..."
"I don't expect you to," she sighs, looking down at the ground. "And it's probably too much to ask that you ... at least forgive, isn't it?"
[Public death comeback meme thing] Upon seeing her face, Benedict's previously somewhat cheerful expression - though not quite a smile - dropped dramatically. He pushed the front of his, now rather longer, hair back while looking at her. His expression was hard to read, though there was definite undertones of both sadness, possibly leaking into depression, and hurt. "So... You're alive..."
Her own smile faded until she was putting an exhausting amount of energy into maintaining it, as weak as it was. She looked down at her feet, unable to look at his face. "Yeah..." she squeaked and cleared her throat to try again. "Yeah. I... don't expect you to understand... or even listen. Just... I'm sorry."She sighed, hugging herself to keep from reaching out for him. She missed his touches but she knew she didn't deserve them. Not after leaving like that. "I had no other choice. I can't explain yet. I need to speak to my parents first. But, um... well, we all know how that's gonna go, huh?" She tried to laugh and it didn't work. "... your hair looks great. It's a good look on you. I like it." Not that the last bit there mattered. How long had she been gone? There was no doubt he'd moved on and found someone else to hold his heart. Ah, but he still held hers. "... I missed you so much."

"Hm... You know, I don't think I can pick just three. How about I give you a few and you pick your favorites? We'll start with funny, brilliant, insightful, clever, amusing, adorable, remarkable, odd, unusual, kind, caring, quiet, silly, amiable, astounding, precious, warm heart, warm body, warm soul, perfect... mine?"
"Did I fall asleep?"
"Yeah. But it's okay. You make a good blanket."
A huge bundle was in Benedict's arms as he wandered through the Shatterdome in search of Lani. He had meant to give her the present already - a large, baggy jumper that was not in any way meant to fit her and was wrapped up roughly in wrapping paper with robots on - but ended up being busy and thus this was the first chance he'd gotten... But now he couldn't find her... Typically.
The medic wasn't too far from the lab. She was on her way back from having taken a willing walk outside despite the cold. To top it off, she was grinning even with the noticeably thick layer of snow on the back of her coat. The young- but large- puppy at her heels carried even more snow in his thick coat but he didn't seem to mind. He would stop and shake himself every so often, but otherwise he didn't seem bothered by the snow. With a loud bark of excitement, the puppy leaped from the third to last step on a flight of stairs. Wet paws hit slick metal and he slipped, landing on his belly. He was up within a second and running towards Benedict. He hadn't quite learned what it meant to stay with Leilani, but the moment she called his name, he turned back to run to her. "Sorry, Ben! What's up? Didn't see you around last night. We were going to make you go eat dinner with us."
