Just to settle something that's been bugging me ever since the dawn of time and meaning absolutely no offense to you or anyone at all, how do you pronounce your name?

It's no worries, I know how difficult it is (and weird). I've had like 2 teachers in my entire school life so far say it correctly first time when reading the register. Here the best video I can find for it (I couldn't work out how to upload a voice thing to this) but depending on where you live, the -an- sounds slightly different. Mine's more like the kinda -an- sound you get when saying -fawn- without strong emphasis on the w :)

Sherlock

regarding sherlock i don't have a lot of thought-out precise headcanons about him (i have more about johnlock, weirdly maybe), so have instead a lot of half thought-out ideas about him :3

guilt is not something we see really explored in sherlock, the "villains" are unambiguous, some take pleasure in their works, and sherlock is well known for his supposed lack of empathy, we see him being a bit 'embarassed' at poisoning john in the hounds of baskerville but that's it. I do believe however that after killing CAM, sherlock would sometimes be overwhelmed by guilt : he would of course try to rationalize his actions - as this being the only solution for john to be safe etc - and most times he won't probably even think of it, but sometimes he wakes up at night, drenched in sweat, breathing heavily, thinking what have i done, and he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep for the night. I mean, we never really see him interested in punishing bad people (remember his first case when the taxi driver is obviously a killer, and yet he's more interested in his brain, and in the game than him gtting arrested/stopped), and to do that, to push the trigger, it would obviously be very traumatizing (we see him cry for the first time). I don't believe in the theory (even if it's presented regularly in the show) that he's a sociopath, sherlock has a conscience, he cares, whereas the hallmark of a sociopath is usually a stunning lack of conscience. (this got really long i'll try to do shorther :D)

i believe that sherlock has a baker street room in his mind palace, where he goes as a space to soothe himself when he doesn't have a case, as opposed to the courtoom when we see mycroft pressuring him to be better. However, when he is down, or his brain gets too much, when he gets in the same mind-space as when he has the impulse to get back to drugs, his mind wanders to the padded cell of moriarty, some sort of punishment. The padded cell to me is where logic is left off, it's pain and emotions, something sherlock is always trying to lock down.

and to end on a very shallow headcanon, I think sherlock has/had a personal shopper, maybe employed by mycroft, who gave him his staples suits and pieces of clothing, and he just nows buys the same stuff. I just don't see sherlock popping in a shop and buying stuff on his own, like trying shirts, deciding on a color.

Please tell me the place you are in where you just walk out of your home and a bit and into a leather shop. Where I live, leather is so rare I cry when I get to touch some.

There's a Tandy Leather on the other side of the park from my apartment. It's a chain shop that, obviously, sells leather, and leather working tools. I decided to skip it today, since I bought so much cloth from FabricLand. I'll go another day when I have some free time. I'd probably end up spending an entire paycheque there, so I'm going to wait until I have a project in mind before I go. I'm thinking steampunk goggles...
