“HARMONY”

Originally a writer, London artist Ben Eine rebooted his career more than 25 years ago, redefining “writer” and becoming one of the city’s most prolific street artists specializing and elevating the art of graffiti to a new level. Eine’s colorful letters have now transformed walls around the world and in 2015 he was in Chicago where he participated in the Wabash Arts Corridor initiative of @ColumbiaChi adding this message at S Wabash Ave and Harrison St on the back of University Center apartments. The Wabash Arts Corridor serves as home to eight educational institutions, as well as countless galleries, performance spaces, hotels, and restaurants, making it a major international creative hub. Providing housing for 1,700 students a year, then GM of @UniveristyCenterChicago, Marlene Levine, said Eine’s selection of “Harmony” reflects the center’s mission of nurturing “individual potential, inside and outside of the classroom, while in context of community.”  @einesigns/  @wacchicago/
