“I don’t remember falling in love with you. I just remember holding your hand, realizing how much it was going to hurt when I would have to let it go.”
“Who is she?” [benelyn] ;))))
“Who’s who?” he asked, brow wrinkling in confusion as he turned around. He’d come to greet Evelyn as soon as he could, but it was hard getting away from the meet, the crowd of classmates and parents repeatedly pulling him back.
“Wait, you mean Rachel?” he asked, remembering the last person he’d talked to, a short girl (though most were) who was on the girls’ cross country team. He could still see her on the edge of the crowd, drinking water and wiping off her sweaty face even though the evening was cooling. He was sweaty, too, but he ran warmer than most people at any point. “She’s just someone from my school. We have statistics together, so she was asking about our test,” he said, wondering why he felt the need to explain this to her.
“Wait,” he said suddenly, looking down at her. “Are you jealous?” he asked, surprised more than smug, but there was a grin at the corner of his lips.
Some things are more precious...

Evelyn stopped as he suddenly turned around. Eyes gazed up at him, the odd smirk still on his face. Her expression turned to confusion when he described how he felt but Evelyn figured the feeling was different from person to person. He was high on vampire blood, after all, and she wasn’t in the position to ask him a more scientifically detailed explanation.
The warm hands on her shoulders made her skin tingle, goosebumps and chills followed as his hands slid down her arms. “No problem, I have plenty more.”, she replied with a smirk. She really felt like removing her dress and his shirt also, but held back such lustful desires. Or were they only driven by lust? She wasn’t sure anymore. She was also not sure why this boy intimidated her, why she longed for his touch and why it felt so damn good. Evelyn looked away from his eyes after she figured it’d been too long. “Uhm, you should take a shower.”
He paused, and dropped his hands from her arms, instead plucking at his destroyed shirt. “I suppose you’re right,” he murmured. He glanced up, looking around, locating himself and her bathroom. It was strange, how distracted he was, but before he could feel too off about it, his eyes and mind found a few new things to lead his attention away.
He moved into her bedroom, then stopped, and spun. “I didn’t even--I just assumed--” he stuttered, heat rising in his cheeks. “Should I--may I use your bathroom?” he asked, hands fluttering with nervous energy.
Halloween meme you just reblogged + Benelyn just because :)
Choses the pumpkin:Evelyn, but she’s super picky and has to check like all of them before deciding that this one is perfect.
Carves the pumpkin:Ben. At some point there is probably a blob of pumpkin innards launched into Evelyn’s hair because he likes to live life on the edge.
Gets scared and clings the other in a haunted house:Evelyn, because there’s a really creepy ghost bit and she can’t help it. Ben’s more of a freeze in place kind of scared anyway.
Matching costume idea:Oh, definitely Evelyn. As to what? Maybe something along the line of Greek god and goddess or something? That would appeal to her style and his fine, fine body.
Makes a cozy bed-fort to cuddle in:I’m going with Evelyn, but once Ben’s in there he’s not leaving (and neither is she, if he can help it).
Steal’s the other’s candy:all your gummies are belong to Evelyn
Accidentally gets lost in a corn maze:I guess Ben? But I also think Evelyn might cheat and zoom through it.
Tells spooky stories to scare the other:Evelyn finds creepypastas online and reads them out loud, eventually freaking both of them out. Oh well, guess they have to sleep together to feel safe. (;
Collects cool-looking leaves:Ben? He takes them home for his mom to decorate with? Idfk.

The moon hung close to him. He could feel it, like a weight on his back, like a brush against his fur, like a packmate.
They were wilder tonight, ranging, running farther. Splitting and spreading. A scent lured his nose away from them. There was something else. It called to him but his hackles raised at the same time.
He stopped in the sudden clearing, light from the moon almost blinding. They ran in a circle, weak arms raised high, reaching for the moon. His moon. He snapped his jaws, panting at them. They were small and breakable but he knew somehow they were strong in this dance. They stopped suddenly, and a crackle of energy ran through him, snout to tail.
A tail that was suddenly no longer there. He looked down in mild surprise to find himself back in his body and nothing else, his skin glowing in the moonlight. Something moved through the trees behind him, but he was looking at the witches gathering together in a huddle, completely unaware of him it seemed. Well, that was fine. He probably ought to find clothes anyway, and they all appeared to be women in robes, nothing he could use.
Turning, he moved quickly through the trees, towards his home. He was not far, he realized. Skipping his box of supplies, he crawled through his open window and pawed around until he found regular clothes. He was too energized for sleep, he knew, but he didn’t feel like shifting for the rest of the evening either. So he pulled on jeans and a dark, long-sleeved shirt. Standing fully-dressed in his room, he considered for a moment what to do.
He was out the window again in no time, crossing the town at a lope. The light in her bedroom was on, he saw from across the street, so he was up the stairs to her apartment in no time. He hadn’t exactly decided to go to her, but his feet seemed to direct him. So he stood outside her door and knocked twice, before crossing his arms over his chest and waiting.
for the break my muse thing: "Stop pretending, Ben. You're no good, you're evil. Just like your father." [benelyn]
They stood in the clearing where they had met the first time she’d seen his wolf form. She looked much the same, but he looked like any other teenage boy in town tonight. Any other shellshocked boy.
“Don’t say–”
“’Don’t say that?’” she said, beating him to the sentence. Her voice was as cold as he knew her skin was. “Why not? It’s true. Just admit it. The world will be better off without you trying to be someone you’re not.”
He frowned. “Why?” he managed to ask her, only getting one word out at a time.
“Why what? Come on, Ben, spit it out,” she said, looking at him contemptuously. Or, really, apathetically, which was worse. “I should know. With all I’ve done in my life, I should recognize someone like me.” She paused, looking him straight in the eyes. “A monster.”
“You’re no–I’m not–” he stuttered, shaking his head, eyes wide. “No,” he said, taking a step back, “no.”
She smiled slowly. “Yes, Ben. Yes.”
He said nothing else, just shook his head again, and stumbled out of the clearing, away from her, away from everyone.
rough touch [benelyn] WOOPS
The impact was hard enough to knock the painting of the ocean off her wall. Ben turned to look at it as it clattered to the floor. “Do we need to–”
“No,” she said flatly, turning his chin back to her. “We don’t need to do anything,” she said, standing on her tiptoes, tipping his head down to cover the remaining space, “except relax and enjoy ourselves.” And she had plenty of ideas on that, starting with pressing herself against him, from her lips to her legs.
